When I bought this 41/2 years ago my intention was to drive it 6 months to a year and see if I like driving a vette and if so Id sell it and buy a C5. Loved it from day one and it has been so much fun just kept driving the darn thing. The problem is my wife doesn't like driving it or even riding in it (that's both good and bad). My thinking is waiting tell the C7 comes out and see where the C6 prices land so maybe a C6 or a 03-04 C5. I'd like for us to take trips in the vette together.

I bought the wheels like they are from OEM Wheels. They aren't as shiny as they were when I first got them because when I opened the box I thought they were chrome. Now they have the very nice polished look that I wanted.

I was driving east (in an 04 Pontiac Vibe) on I-10 out of El Paso, TX one sunny morning in the spring of 2007. I was in no rush so had the cruise set at 68 MPH. In my rear view mirror way in the distance I saw this little glimmer of an object (obviuosly a car, but did not know it was a Corvette). So, I'm thinking it's probably some rich drug lord that just got his Lambo or Maserati out of the oil change bay and he was airing the car out on a nice day. That'll be cool, to be passed by a Ferrari going 120 MPH. Anyway, as the car closed the gap on me, I made out that it was white, then it got a little closer and to my surprise I saw that it was a C-4 Corvette. As I watched the car get closer, it was the baddest looking car I'd ever seen; low, lean, kind of floating along, bright shiny white. He must have been going at least 100 MPH when he passed me. I'm not sure how many have been passed by a C4 Corvette in their lives, and maybe it wasn't that big a deal for you, but it left an indelible mark on my pathetic automobile brain that has never left me. Within a couple months, I bought a 6 speed 93 Ruby car and then a couple years later bought a 96 LT 4 car. Wow, that's a lot of words to say..what GREAT looking car. I'm about 4 hrs south of you in OK....maybe.....

When I bought my 93 I thought I wanted a C5 but after driving this for a while I loved it. I've had a few muscle cars over the years and this had some of that raw old school feel but handled so much better and is way more fun to drive. There aren't to many C4s around here so that makes it stand out more because people don't see these very often. Sounds like you have two very nice C4s and loving them like I do mine. Just got back from a drive this morning and what a great way to get the day started.

My 93 has that raw feel like you mention. My 96, reminds me of my C5, which I sold to buy the 96. My only wish is that the C4s had the Heads Up...that's the coolest thing.
Raining here today, so the Vettes are in the garage. Sunny weather predicted for Sat and Sun, though!!
