Borla Exhaust from the Factory?
Does anyone know if you could order a new Vette with Borla exhaust from the factory back in 2006? I had a Chevy dealer tell me that yesterday when I was looking at a 2006 in his lot which had a Borla. I have never heard of this, but who knows, there was the "COPO" program. Thanks.

Thanks, guys. That's what I thought too but this is a reputable dealer so I had to ask. I was looking to trade in my 94 on a 2006 but they wanted too much.

Actually, Borla did design and manufacture the GMPP exhaust for the C6 Corvette. So I guess we are that lucky!

Ive got a 2015 Silverado that came with a gmpp borla exaust. My 06 Silverado too has one. They were ordered with the truck but installed by the dealer. Kind of like the cross ram dual 4 barrel and headers were on the 68 z28. There factory authorized parts but ive never heard of them being put on at the factory level.

While that is true regarding GMPP, it was not ever installed at the factory which was the original question.

could have been either. From what ive seen the gm gmpp exhaust has tips that have bowties on them and the production borla customer bought systems have the word Borla on the tips. but if you search around you can buy both tips so that sure isn't wrote in stone. You can also buy the gmpp through ebay from a gm dealer or buy it at your own dealer and install it yourself. Big difference with my 2015 Silverado gmpp exaust is that theres a flapper in it that closes down when it goes into 4 cyl mode to keep it from droning and the standard borla system doesn't have that.
