1993 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary - 6 speed
SOLD
Up for sale is my rare Z07 version of the 1993 40th Anniversary edition C4, with black tag ZF 6 speed. This car is in excellent condition with only 50xxx miles. I bought it in May 2014 as my first HPDE track car, and it has been a joy to drive and wonderfully reliable. My only reason for selling is that I plan to move up to a C5 Z06 on the track.
While I have made various upgrades to improve the car for the track, it remains largely stock and entirely street able. I often drive it to work, and sometimes to and from the track. AC ran ice cold when it was removed (May 2017) to make room for an oil cooler. All AC equipment remains available (and included in the sale) if you prefer to reinstall it. Original leather sports seats remain available (and included in the sale) and in great condition - the driver seat shows a slight wear on the outside bolster. The car is currently equipped with Kirkey Intermediate racing seats, IO Port quick release seat back braces, and new Schroath 6 point harnesses.
For those new to the C4, the rare and desirable Z07 package includes track ready performance suspension springs and sway bars, a power steering cooler, a quick steering rack, and heavy duty J55 brakes.
Upgrades and mods include:
Goodrich braided stainless steel brake hoses (all 4 corners)
DRM stainless steel caliper pistons (front only)
Hard Brake titanium brake shields (front only)
Motul 600 brake fluid
Speed bleaders (all 4 corners)
Quantum air duct inlets
Quantum / LG spindle ducts (to feed cooling air directly to the rotor)
Carbotech XP 10 front brake pads
Carbotech XP 8 rear brake pads
DRM brake bias spring
DRM braided stainless steel power steering hose
Power steering pump AND rack rebuilt by Turn One (Jan 2017)
Shortened shifter by ZF Doc
MSD ignition
New Opti spark (Dec 2015)
Crane gold 1.6 roller rockers
LT 4 valve springs
10% under drive pulley
ATI AC delete bracket / pulley
Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro Red 74225 spark plug wires
NGK Iridium TR55IX spark plugs
Open face air filter cover
Shorty headers
3 inch exhaust (dual straight pipes) with Dyno Max VT mufflers
Setrab 625 (25 row) oil cooler, -10AN braided stainless steel hoses, with thermostatically controlled bypass
Billet aluminum gas pedal mount / hinge (replaces weak stock plastic mount)
Billet aluminum racing pedal pads
Sparco harness bar
2.5 lb fire extinguisher and mounting bracket to front of seat ( at bend of knee)
Front tow hook
Continental Extreme Contact DW 275/40/17 all around (new) on 9.5 inch A-mold wheels
Nitto NT01 315/35/17 all around (worn) on 11 inch A-mold wheels
2 spare sets of 9.5 X 17 aluminum saw blade wheels (1 set polished, 1 set painted)
3 targa roofs (solid ruby red, smoked glass, and cut out)
Bronze headlight gears (both sides)
Interior and exterior condition are both 8.5 out of 10.0. The car finish remains great, and looks almost perfect from 10 feet, but on close inspection does have slight road rash in the typical areas. I am frequently complimented on both the appearance and performance of this beauty.
Racing numbers shown in the photos are simple contact paper, and easily remove without leaving any residue.
Price is $8900 as she sits, including all spares. Or, $7900 minus the racing seats, seat braces, harnesses, and oil cooler.
Conveniently located in Morgantown WV. Will be on track and available for inspection at Mid Ohio Carfest on Labor Day weekend (2017).
Thanks for your interest.
