1989 6 Speed Corvette 93k Miles $8,000.
So I haven’t even had a chance to log into the forum for the past 3 weeks given how busy I am these days.. I’m in college, working a ton, and having a girlfriend. The corvette is now for sale, I’m not happy about it either trust me! I’m not desperate to sell the car, and won’t take low ballers seriously. That being said the price is Negotiable. My priorities have changed and I won’t have the time or money to enjoy this car as often as it should be enjoyed. I’d like to see this car go to a good home.
I am looking for strictly cash, or a late 90’s to early 2000’s reliable 4 cylinder 5 speed car with cash on your end, for example a late 90’s civic or corolla in decent shape with under 200k miles.
I purchased the car march 3rd 2017 with 90,111 miles in Rhode Island from the previous owner who had owned it for 8 years, the owner before him was his father who had owned it for seven. There was only one owner before those two, I don’t know anything about the original owner. The previous owner and his father took very good care of this car, as you can see. I have a carfax for the car that I purchased when buying the car. I’ve done a few things to the car since purchasing it.
This car has the 6 speed, and cloth seats, these two things are options I looked for, and trust me finding both of them together is not easy. I know this doesn’t add value to the car.
What i’ve done to the car:
4 Brand new BF Goodrich Sport comp 2 All seasons 3/10/17
Oil change with Royal Purple 5W-30 90,369 miles. 4/9/2017
Unfortunately I didn’t record the dates or mileage but since owning the car I have flushed and replaced the coolant, Brake fluid, Transmission fluid, and power steering fluid.
I’ve tinted the tail lights on the car as well, some love the look, others don’t. I used Nite Shade so it can still be removed, it’s not permanent. This does very little to affect the visibility of the brake lights being seen while driving in the day time.
What I know the car needs:
The car will need New front brakes eventually, pads and rotors are starting to get low, probably another 10k miles or so left on them given how you drive the car.
The car should get a new pair of shocks as I believe they are the original to the car, The car still handles very well.
There is a small, and I mean very small hole in the exhaust before the passenger side catalytic converter that water drips through onto the ground, not a big deal.
Other things worth noting:
The cars paint is original, the car has some chipping near the front of both headlights as well as a few other small spots on the car. I will show pictures of what i’m talking about below this post.
The car has been garaged since i’ve owned it, and the two previous owners have had it. The previous owner said he was caught with it once in the rain, he’s a great guy and I still talk to him on a regular basis. I can personally say i’ve only been caught in the rain with this car twice, neither of them being bad storms. This car really has been taken good care of and i’d like it to go to a good home. I spent a VERY long time looking for a car this clean with the options it has,a lot of forum members probably remember my struggle of finding the exact car I wanted. I haven’t driven this car since the first snow fall and they salted the roads back in december. The car is in my garage and hooked up to a battery tender is started up every 2 weeks or so. This is a clean, no accident, very original in good shape car. It gets a lot of attention and leaves a smile on my face everytime I drive the car.
Feel free to shoot me a pm with any questions, I’ll try and respond as soon as possible. If you’re local and want to come take a look at the car, please be serious and know how to drive stick. Thank you!

Thank You None of the money from the sale of this car is going towards my relationship, going towards a more economic car to drive on a daily basis, and the rest going into learning how to invest in stocks
