yea I saw that it said that this car runs like a dream I cant tell that its been wrecked I drove it from abiene to dallas two weekends ago got 18 miles a gallon running 80s the whole way. I only drive it once a week if that 0 oil leaks pristine moter it just hit 65000 thank you for your interest
This is not a Corvette Challenge Car as Daniel researched it as totaled. That car was totaled so bad after the end of the season that the passenger was killed and the driver paralyzed. He was impaled by the driveshaft that came up through the tunnel. I know where some body parts of the Challenge Car are.
Maybe Rutherford drove that car, but it’s not the one he raced in the Pro Corvette Challenge. A real B9P will run between $30-47k and are very well documented to ensure these collector cars are not counterfeited.
The salvage title also makes this car worth near zero to any collector. If this car is a salvage title, I would recommend parting it out or selling it for the value of a salvage C4 with those miles, 4k?
I’m not inferring that the car for sale has a bad title, rather that this car is not the car RPO B9P Corvette Challenge Car produced by Chevrolet . It may have some parts from the #99 Challenge Corvette, but that’s it.
Oh it is absoultly is the car and moter lol im glad your such an expert on my car lol It has a reassigned title have the car fax its was wrecked an put back together the alternator was broke from the wreck an welded back on the roll cage shifted a tad and the original fire system and tank and showing blue from under the yellow original mid america design sticker from the race itook off the over invoice stickers off because its mine seriously think they would take the roll cage out and put it in a different car nope

Here’s a photo of the rear clip salvaged from the actual #99 Corvette Challenge Car. And no, they wouldn't try to salvage the cage, rather replicate it.

After the wreck young Chevrolet took the car to Kim Baker to clone it to the original state my car has many parts off the rutherford car and a challenge engine I got to speak with a fellow member today that worked for young at the time thanks for helping me get to the bottom of things
