Default 1996 Collector's Convertible LT4

Hey guys, I tried to sell my Vette before I left for Afghanistan, but I didn't have any luck....well, after discussing this with my wife some more, I have decided to lower the price a little. I was asking $17330 which was the Kelly Blue Book Private Party price. I have decide to lower my asking price to $16,500.
The car has 72,000 miles on it. It has new plug and wires, new cap and rotor on the Opti and new water pump , hoses, and belt, as well as new bilteins with Z51 valving.
Right now, I have a set of silver AFS rims (11" and 9.5") with new Sumitomo Tires mounted on them. I will sell these seperately for an additional $1,500. I will reinstall the factory Amolds on the car which have Firestone Firehawksmounted on them.
Anyone interested can Email me at Tagensone@baf.afgn.army.mil or my wife at lauren.tagesen@stone-insurance.com
She has full power of attorney to sell the car while I am gone. If it doesn't sell by the time I return from Afghanistan, I will list it on Ebay with the reserve set at $16,500. The last time I had it on Ebay, the reserve was set at $17,500 and it didn't get the high.
I have relisted it on Ebay w/ a 5 day auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2492645809

Hey Karfever....it is a nice car. I am deployed over here in Afghanistan, and would rather just let it go and pay off the loan. I would say in the next couple years, it could use a new top and weatherstriping. Nothing pressing right now....that's just my forecast...then as it nears 100,000 miles, maybe a new clutch. But once again...none of these are things that need to be done right away...and I would consider those normal things that could be expected on any car of this age and mileage.
Ken from Vettenet is also working on selling it. He's ran the carfax and it's clear. The vin is listed there on the Ebay add for anyone else who would like to run it.

Do you all think $16500 is still too high?

Added a BUY NOW PRICE of $16,000

Eric - Does "facotry Amolds" mean the sawblade style wheels or are the amolds a different pattern. About how many miles would you estimate are left on the Firestone Firehawks? Thanks.

A Molds are the original 5 spoke wheels that came on all CE cars.

Factory Amolds are the 5 spoke silver CE rims. They are the ones on the car pictured on my website.
I would extimate that there are about 20,000 miles on the Firehawks.
I would also tell you that the silver ZR1 sized AFS rims look awesome on the CE, and that an additional $1500 is a deal for them.
