Hey guys and gals, I'm looking to purchase not only my first C5 but my first Vette. Basicly what i'm looking for is a C5 for under $15,000. Somewhat a needle in a haystack I know. As far as i'm concerned I would be fine with a car with a motor that has let go, I own a machine shop so the motor isn't going to say in the car for more than five mins. after I get it home any way. Let me know what's laying around.

Not trying to flame here, but I think a C5 for under 15K is going to be hard to find. Try the C4 section.

Theres a 97 with 101k miles listed on cars.com in dallas. Asking 15,500. And thats for a C5 with an engine in full working order. A C5 without an engine is worth quite a bit less than 15k. Keep looking, you will find it.

My buddy just bought a '99 for 13k. It had flood damage reported early in its life but is in perfect condition now,there out there, just not real common. Good luck Precision, let me know if you need a Car Fax run, I have an account with about a week left on it!
