2001 Z-06 just sold on eBay for $37,488.... Prices dropping faaaasstttt
Good news for those of us still looking to get into a C-5. Owners are realizing they have to be more realistic ($$$) if they want to sell. See this one on eBay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=594088314 :D :yesnod: :yesnod:

Wow, that is just pathetic. lol...... 37500 for a 2001. Makes me Sick lol......
It's deffinitely a buyers market right now, but the only thing holding me back is the loan only gets paid off so quickly, so you can only get out from the car when the two prices match up.

I took a look at Ebay, they have a 2001 Triple black convertible for 42K with only 65 miles. That is sick. :U
On many occasions I bet folks simply back out after they find out they are the high bidder. In this case, the seller probably wants out.

I hope these drop in prices soon. I want one. I have seen them around here for 30,000 for a reg C-5 with average miles. When those C-6's hit the streets hopefully the prices on C-5's will hit the 20's then I will get one. They are sweet.

With new 2001's selling at $7K off sticker, a used one should be in that range. Just my .02.

I think no reserve auctions are indeed binding to both seller and buyer, but ebay (and auctioning in general) has a lot of rules that favor sellers, so perhaps this dealer can avoid selling the car.
What this auction really shows, in my mind, is how far the demand for these cars has deteriorated. Regardless of whether the sale goes through, the market was only willing to pay that much for the car. Kind of scary to see that much depreciation in one year. Hopefully the downward spiral will continue until I can afford one (well, a c5 at least)...

If you think prices are cheap now, just wait till after this nuclear winter.
If the stock market stays where it is for an extended amount of time, asset prices of all types will continue to slide.

Saw a black 98 Convert for $28k in houston, had 50k miles.
99 white convert was $33k with 17k miles, fully optioned.
Prices have fallen.

Quote from the eBay ad "MILES PUT ON BY GENERAL MOTORS FACTORY". I'd be willing to bet those weren't "gentle" miles. I would wonder if this had been a test mule. Maybe not such a good deal after all. ;)

Another day, another tank in the stock market. Greenspan cuts rates and the market pukes. Sure feels like the market is on an elevator ride to hell.
Unlike Ford, GM came out today and said they will meet their qtr results. So maybe it's not that bad...

Do you really think they sold it? Ebay bidder ID "s120748w (0)" could of been the dealership's.

I would bet that the dealership did a bid shield........Ebay said they will kick you off if you're caught, but get real, how can they catch you. All they had to do was to use a different user email to place the bid for them to get the price up. If no one else bids, they get to keep the car.
