FS: My one-of-a-kind 2-tone paintjob 98. $16K firm
!!!!!!!!!!!!SOLD!!!!!!!!! 6/26/06
Some of you may remember seeing this car at Bowling Green or at the Skyline Drive cruise last year.
It's my 98, A4, coupe. It is a Z51 suspension, and has been lowered. It has dual-climate control. It is a high mileage car (187K) but runs great and is very reliable, as you can tell from the 11K miles I have enjoyed putting on it in between projects over the last 1.5 years since buying it. It is not a perfect car, but is a real head-turner and very nice car. It has been painted in a custom 2-tone torch red and black paint job, which is seperated by a thin silver pinstripe. It has a MCM high-rise hood that has a C5 corvette emblem airbrushed on the inside and mirrors in the inset areas. The nose has Caravaggio canards and billet grills, and a shaved emblem. This hood and nose used to be on GBVette's car. I will be taking the CCW wheels off of the car, and will putting a set of chrome wagon wheels on it. The tires that are on the chromies will need to be replaced very soon, but they should get you home ok. I just put ceramic brake pads and drilled and slotted rotors on the car less than 300 miles ago. This past week, I put new seat foam in both seats and replaced the seat covers with covers from a 3K mile car. I replaced the low beams with Silverstars. It has a new clear targa top, and whoever buys the car can also have the old top, and the original hood and nose if they desire. Some of the maintenance I have performed since buying the car includes: I have exclusively used Mobil 1, I changed the spark plugs and wires, put on a new tensioner and pulleys, new serpentine belt, transmission fluid and filter change, and recently replaced the battery. (edit) - I forgot to add that the car also has the cargo hatch shade and cargo net.

I have to also mention mine is a '99, I bought it almost two years ago and I paid less than your asking price.. I guess the paint on yours might be keeping the price up, just a little info

Not personally what I'd be shopping for...but very few C5's are in this price range, so there's not much to choose from if you're in this price range. Even though it has higher mileage, it appears to be a very nice looking ride, probably well worth the asking price, especially given such details as near new leather, etc.
Best of luck!

I appreciate the positive comments... this car is a great value and looks dynamite.
you other guys should refer to troy's sticky post at the top of this forum that says criticizing prices is grounds for removal of user points and possibly loss of posting rights.

that's kinda what i was thinking too...
Worst case scenario = enjoy it as is til the engine needs replacing and then put in a 408 iron block stroker and then really start enjoying it.
Best case scenario = keep on enjoying it.
I see it as a "Can't Lose" or "Win-Win" situation.

here's a bump for you ...
If I had a spare $16k, I'd buy it! I haven't seen the paint in person, but it looks awesome!
IF I remember correctly a pretty young lady popped out the back of your (then) torch red C5 when you got to Skyline Cruise a couple years ago. Does the car come with the pretty woman also?
<joking>
