I just looked at one in the showroom tonight. The dealer wouldn't budge at all on price & wanted exactly what was posted on the sticker.

That is so crazy they need to come off at least 2k to 2.5k off the msrp that is the only way ill be buying a zo6. Yes the 0% is really nice but I think they can work with us vette owners a little more. I also have a trade and need to sell at least one car before I buy another :cool: I have a Porsche Boxster that needs to go a 99 ,ocean blue ,grey int ,grey top, sport pkg 17 inch wheels and windstop 19k miles $33,850 :cheers:

Look around I have seen dealers going to 4k off sticker on some Z06's, they make around $7500 with hold back on the car.

Yeah, trading in, now there's the catch. There are sooo many used vettes on the market now its not funny. I tried to trade up to an 02 zo6. The dealership dropped my trade in value $10K after the 0% came into effect. :crazy:

My Z06 was $7551.00 with hold back, that is what a dealer could make selling the car at sticker price, I got well over 4k off sticker.

How do you find out what the holdbacks are on a new Corvette ? I am just curious :confused:

Chevy dealers get a hold back of 3% of the full MSRP price.
Edmunds.com has all the details, and also lists incentives
and rebates, although when I went there today, some of their

I'm getting well over $4K off of MSRP. I'm buying from a smaller dealer and my car gets built this week!!!! I've had to wait longer than I would have from ordering from the big dogs, but it was worth it!! What makes it even better is that I'm gonna be able to get the low APR. Keep looking and you'll find one.

As long as you are not trading in a vehicle you should be able to get a heck of a deal on any new corvette (including Z06's). You just have to find a dealer that isn't full of sh?t and tells you that there is a line of people around the block waiting to pay MSRP for their car. Alot of dealers realize the economy sucks right now and that not everyone is willing to spend 40-50 grand on a toy. There are several daelers here that will sell /order for $500 over invoice (that's approx. $6000 off MSRP). They make about $2000 for doing the paperwork. Of course some are greedy and would rather pay flooring on the car and hope someone comes in and pays MSRP or more. Just keep looking and deal with the sales manager not a salesman. Good luck.

I went looking last week and a dealer here in Nashville, TN had a line hand-written on the sticker that said "Limited Availability + $7,995.00" They would talk about sticker but nothing lower.

Same here in Denver, Elway Chevrolet has a market adjustment of $5K. I laughed and walked away. The salesman did follow me to the truck, saying he maybe able to "give" it to me for sticker. :lol: I laughed, and told him, "You sure would be "GIVING IT TO ME" :mad

Traditionally dealers have been able to get high prices for the cars (3rd sticker market adjustment) because the demand was higher than the supply. However they have never been 2-3 months into a model year and still had lots of the previous year sitting around unsold. 0% financing has nothing to do with the price of the vehicle other than the dealer will try to use that to try to screw you out of more money. There are dealers here that are still asking 5-10 thousand over MSRP but they are also the ones that are not selling any cars. I was looking at a car last month and told the dealer I had one ordered for $500 over invoice and he offered this one to me for $400 over (not the color I wanted). Don't listen to their B.S.(which is about 99.9% of what they say) and find a dealer that is willing to deal and be ready to buy.

I bought a 2002 Z06 a couple of weeks ago on the GMS ( GM employee discout ) MSRP $53,710 GMS price $43,100. i was totally shocked that they would sell it on the GMS. Be patient and the dealers will be begging you to buy one before too long.

In order to get the GMS discount you have to be an employee of GM. I bought several cars under that program when my ex was sales manager of a Chev. dealership. I don,t know if it is still the same but a few years back it was 5% of MSRP off the dealer invoice and that's any GM product.Like jimvette said in the above post, when they get hungry enough they be willing to deal.
