Sir, these fine people here on the forum will help you, i just recently retired from th military and my present to myself, with the wifes approval was a 2001 corvette. the same color i seen as a teenager. i wish you the best of luck looking for one. I bought mine from a dealer in the Ft. Smith area and so far i have had some great results. there were a couple of things, not serious things that needed fixing, but if you're mechanically inclined, very easy to fix. there are also Corvette car clubs and i cant think of the one in Little Rock but they would be helpful.

Other than what's on here, there is a real nice black frc on STL craigslist. $11,000 with 150K miles. A bit high in milage, but LSX motors are known to go to 300k or so I hear. I'd love to pick it up myself, it's along the lines of my taste, but I'm still looking. Be safe, and good luck!

I have a 98 coupe w/glass roof, Bose, traction control, active handling, new tires, black/black. I get 17-21 city & 29-32 hwy. 67000 miles. Not a chip or scratch. KBB private sale is $19000. I'll take $17000 as I want silver or white/black. The Bose is cd with ipod connection. Part of why mpg is so good is the low rear ratio. Yet it's quick off the line for me. This is my 5th Vette. A new 82 was last. I love this as a sports car with muscle. The LUXURY is a bonus. The keyless remote needs no button pushing. Just walk 15 feet away, and doors lock, alarm is armed. Return 15 feet away, doors unlocks, alarm disarms. CANNOT get locked out that way. I'm in no hurry to sell, not even posting or advertizing yet. I could keep this ride forever. I can finance up to $3000. Good luck in findinng exactly what you want. You deserve it! 317-813-1017 Robert

When you find something you are serious about take someone with you who REALLY KNOWS these cars. You can get screwed pretty bad if you don't know what to look for and check.
