Default WTB: 02 or newer Z06

Looking for a Z06. Would prefer red, but will consider any color. Looking to spend less than $18k. I would prefer an unmodified car that doesn't need a lot of work. Located in Charlotte NC, but willing to travel/ship if I have to. Anybody have options?

Nothing. There were some improvements made to the 02's that make them more attractive to me.

Just looking at prices makes me wonder a bit -- 02 Z06 even in "fair" condition (which is code word on KBB for needs work) with 70K on the clock is going for 19.7

There are probably a few out there for 18, but they will need a few thousand in work

I agree.... for $18K or under your going to end up with a dog of a car that likely is going to need alot of work. By spending another $2-3K your going to get a MUCH nicer car that in the end may cost you less in the long run.

You guys may be right, we'll see. I've seen a few with over 100k that were extremely clean and very well maintained sell in the $14k-$18k range.

The c5 z's are great cars (I've owned 2 of them), but the used c6 market keeps downward pressure on the c5, and as we look towards the c7 launch that is another factor.

I can pay $20k, but I'd rather find a deal

grey chevrolet {an actual chevy dealer} has a 2004 z06 with a perfect carfax and only one owner with 86k for an ask of 18.8k and i'm sure there is room to come down. the car is listed between kbb fair and good trade in and this is retail dealer pricing

http://www.greychevrolet.com/Vehicle...-WA/1843281393

there was also a 2002 z06 in texas with 60some thousand on it with an ask of 18k. very clean looking car owned by an engineer. it's on craigslist or at least was

ahh found it

http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/3470760248.html

last year a car identical to the 02 above sold in my neighborhood for 16.5k with the same 18k ask

anyway these are the two current z06 deals i'm aware of if anyone is interested

imo the fall of c6 prices are pressuring all the c5s
