2003 Z06 - Vortech V2, Pfadt Coilovers, CCW, etc.
Reluctantly posting my 2003 C5 Z06 for sale - new job forcing me to get rid of a toy for the time being. Vortech supercharged (565whp/493wtq at 8.5psi on pump gas), Pfadt coilovers, CCW wheels, LG exhaust, high-end aftermarket audio system including speakers, amps, and sub. I'm located just north of Los Angeles in Calabasas, CA. Asking $26,500 obo.

The car is an immaculate 50th Anniversary edition, clean title, garage kept, all work professionally done by Vortech itself or by A&A Corvette. Currently sits at 33,800 miles, which won't change much. I have a thick stack of receipts from A&A and documents from Vortech for nearly everything on the car. I also have most of the stock parts (tensioner, belt, etc.) including audio.
I can also provide a referral to a great local credit union that offers competitive financing rates on older cars if you are looking to go that route.
On to the good stuff - major mods are as follows - I'm sure I'll forget some, and may add them as they come to me:
Power:
- Vortech V2-Si supercharger, cog driven, air-to-water intercooled with standalone pump and cooling system. Vortech installed this kit and all accessories. Still on the stock pulley at 8.5 psi peak boost - tons more left in the kit if pullied down to 12-14 psi.
- LG Super Pro longtube headers (1 3/4" primaries)
- LG 3" X-pipe with 3" straight-through 100-cell race cats (keeps the smell down)
- Borla Stinger axleback
- Siemens 60lb injectors
- Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump
- Dyno tune by A&A - makes 565whp/493wtq safely on CA 91 pump.
Other:
- aFe/Pfadt Johnny O'Connell Black Series coilovers ($3000 new) - 24-way adjustable, integrated remote canister, getting harder to find either used or new now.
- CCW C10 Corsair forged monoblock wheels - 18x10 front, 18x11 rear with 305/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sports out front and 305/35/18 Kumho V700 R-compounds in the rear, both in great shape
- Twin disc clutch - exact brand unknown. Stiff-ish pedal, good engagement. Guessing it's a McLeod RXT, but have not verified.
- Adjustable clutch master cylinder
- MGW shifter with Hurst ball
- 2-gauge pillar pod with Auto Meter Sport Comp boost and fuel pressure gauges
- Semi-aggressive alignment
- Frame saver wheels
Audio:
The car's first owner had the audio system completely upgraded, to the tune of $4,458.20 in total. All work was professionally done by Audio Experts in Ventura, CA. Parts include:
- Focal 165V2 and 130CV1 Polyglass speakers
- 2 JL Audio amps
- JL Audio 10W6V2 10" subwoofer with custom-built enclosure, neatly tucked away in cargo area with carpeted hideaway panel with Z06 logo.
- Dynamat
- JVC Bluetooth-enabled head unit (not annoying to use like some others, connects very quickly, etc.)
Cons:
One of the wheels (front right) has a small bend in the lip due to hitting a rock that was on the side of the road. This occurred while the wheels were on a different Corvette, so no other damage was sustained. There is no scuff, but the bend is visible. It does not affect the balance of the wheel whatsoever and the car still drives perfectly with no shake, wobble, or rattle. This type of bend is very easily fixable for around $250. Pictures upon request.
