Salvaged/Wrecked or Cheap C5 for Race Car
Hello,
Figured id try and look here before looking at the salvage websites. Looking to buy a c5 or c5z for a non-street legal race car(t). If you are familiar with Cleetus and his C5 cart you'll know exactly what i'm going for.
Must be good
-transmission
-frame
-suspension
-steering rack
-brakes/master cylinder
Debating on keeping the LS or going with a junkyard LQ build so open to both fully running cars and ones with blown motors. I do not need any body panels, lights, interior, seats etc and will let you keep those to part out for a lower price. Let me know what you have.
Located in IL. Would prefer to keep it within a few hours drive.

well...I have this
never wrecked, title in hand
fuel tanks still intact as is the rear hatch
the front, rear cradles have since been removed but are still available as is the steering rack.....was going to sell separately but if you want it all that's not a problem
transmission has been sold...as have the suspension parts and parking brake handle
....located in FL....
PM me if interested

Thanks for the offer. For ease of the project and sourcing parts I would prefer a car with suspension and transmission. Also i've updated my thread with distance preference.

I think under 5,000$ is my aim. I'm seeing a lot of salvage corvettes with flood, minor body/frame damage with below 50k miles and they guarantee the car moves under its own power going far below 5k. Considering i'm removing the body, don't need a title, and will be selling the motor and ecu im not willing to pay more for a car in good condition with higher mileage.

Just put mine up for sale. Needs 4k worth of electrical work. But just in case you are interested.
