1998 Torch Red coupe
Up for sale is my 1998 Torch Red coupe, oak interior, automatic, with 37,834 miles, in excellent condition. I would rate the body as a 9 and the interior a 9.5. I am asking $13,000 . I put on a new set of Yokohama tires on it which have about 3,000 miles on them. Includes both clear and solid roof panels. I also had the coolant flushed/changed and the transmission fluid changed back in 2015 which comes with a warranty on the transmission if there were an issue. The only known issue mechanically with the car is the air conditioning, the system needs to be charged, I never use the air so I never fixed it. Also, although not an issue, occasionally, once or twice a year the known problem with C5's, the gas gauge goes to empty, however, after clearing the DIC code the problem goes away. I put in Techron a couple of times a year to try to prevent this, but it still happens every once an a while. I am the second owner of the car, I purchased it with 33,200 miles on it, the Carfax shows it was in an accident ( May 1998) shortly after the car was purchased by the original owner in Arizona. After doing a little research I found out the car had a minor front end accident, the car was repaired professionally and there hasn't been any issues since then. Also, as a heads up, anyone interested in purchasing the car will be required to EFT the agreed upon price into my bank account before I release the car and the title, no exceptions. Anyone with any questions please feel free to PM me through this website or email me at pmboudreau12@juno.com. You are more than welcome to set up a time to see the car and inspect it.

What do you mean... do an EFT funds transfer into you bank before the buyer gets the car? What is wrong with cash? Or a certified bank check? Though you been on the Forum for a long time... this can still sound suspicious in this day and time. Just thought you'd like to be reminded...

Regarding the EFT, cash would be fine, however with a Certified Check I would still wait a certain number of days ( probably at least 5) to be absolutely sure the check would clear. There are too many scams out there with people making up fake cashiers/certified checks. Please don't take any offense. With the EFT, I would be assured the money is in my account and I could release the car immediately. I hope this answers your question. I you have any other questions please ask.

nice
Nice lookin hot rod man. My wife and I have bought a couple of Vetts from the forum. what we do is get the seller's bank ( financial institution) manager to agree to hold the money in trust until we receive the registration and/or car and then our bank manager authorizes release of the funds for transfer. Never had a problem...but then we're dealin with Corvette people.
