93 40th anniv what's it worth

Re: 93 40th anniv what's it worth (DEBBIEFL)
Its kind of hard to determine the worth of something if you don't know what it is.
Coupe
Conv.
Auto
6 speed
2 tops, etc.
If its a coupe appox. $17,000 give or take auto or 6 speed, 2 tops
If its a Conv. appox. $22,000 give or take auto or 6 speed, 2 tops
This is given todays market and what you can go buy a low mile C5 for
or a nice low mile 96 Coupe.
Good Luck with your sale.

[Its not a 40th anniv unless it is Ruby Red. so take away about $1500 to $2000.00 from the prices that the above mention post quoted.[/QUOTE]
This is correct. Now you have to find someone who has to have white leather interior. Since they only made it two years its very rare but not a must have for most people. You can deduct from my original ballpark prices for the car not being a real 40th. Price seems to be is whats selling C4's right now. Again good luck with the sale of your car.

Debbie,
I am in the Tampa Bay area and kelley Blue Book sets a private party sale of only $10,865 with 25,000 miles. I feel this price is too low. I feel you should be able to get at least $13,500 for your car. Good Luck. I just sold my 92 this week with 59,000 miles for $11,500. It badly needed tires.

Generally agree with what the others posted re: the price. I sold my own '93 a year ago for $14-ish, but it had more miles than yours.
The Z25 "Anniversary Package' Ruby Red cars do command a little more, but in my experience, not much, as it was the most common color produced in '93. You have a pretty rare bird there with the Aqua.
You might want to re-post this as an ad in the "C4 For Sale" section - it'll get more "eyes" there from people looking for a '93.

As the owner of a 93 I felt the need to chime in. My car is an anniversary issue in every way, but its not RUBY colored. I'm getting fed up with people saying its only a 40th if its Ruby, thats not the case. Ruby is the official color of the anniversary issue. 93's however as in any year can be ordered with any option package available for that model year. My car was made in 93, has the 40th sport seats, chrome badging, (which they also said only came on Rubies), stiffer suspension, 6 speed, 3.45 gear ratio, both tops, select ride, and every other factory upgrade available for that year. If you say its not a 40th because its not Ruby you don't know what you're talking about. you think I should rip out my 40th seats because maybe they just stuck them in the wrong car? With that being said, My car sold new for 42k and some change, 28000 miles on it now. I wouldn't sell it for anywhere near what some of you guys are talking about. But thats because its worth more to ME. It may not be to you and thats absolutely fine and jusitified. A cars bottom line value depends on how much you want to keep it weighed against what the guy buying it wants to spend. Service records, history and mileage all play a part in a cars value. Some people take car of their cars, and others well, lets just leave it at that. Bottom line, do your homework, find what you feel is a good deal and spend what YOU feel is resonable. Edmunds and Kelly are excellent tools to put you in the ball park, but still each and every car is unique unto itself. Its worth is solely based on what the purchaser is willing to spend and the seller is willing to take. Right now it's a buyers market. Lots of deals out there. Great deals on used cars, low interest financing on new vehicles as well. Market is flooded. You'll never get near whats it actually worth in this market. good luck :lurk:

(fwiw, the same 'confusion' exists now with the 50th - all '03's are 50th anniversary, but not all are 1SC "Anniversary Edition.")
Your observations on the value of these cars, if they are well-maintained, will get no argument from me... I sold a friends '86 'vert Pacer, 135K mile 'vette, last week for $13K plus - it was a very nice car, and worth every penny! Sold his '81, similar condition, last year for a little more, but it only had 79K miles....
Cheers!

Re: 93 40th anniv what's it worth (DEBBIEFL)
I believe Bizaro is asking for accuracy which I agree . The same confusion comes with the 25th anniversary if it must be two tone silver.
There are many 40th anniv out there in various colors.
If its a 1993, its a 40th!!
1953+40 years= 1993!
Everyone is entitled to their views, BUT accuracy to support it would be helpful.
I sold my 93 Ruby for $ 12K in October with 73K miles. Books like blue book, kelly, etc mean nothing more than providing $$$ for COMPARISONS!!
THINK SPRING.......DRIVE SAFE!! :auto:

I've used Kelley's Blue Book for years to determine values. I feel they are the most accurate, and take into account your geographic location, miles, options, etc. Check it out at:

Good luck.

Re: 93 40th anniv what's it worth (bizaro1234)
I think Bizaro is off on this one. If you say I have a '93 40th then it should be ruby red. If you say I have a '93 then we all know it was the 40th year of the Vette but it's IS NOT a 40th anniverasry edition. A perfect example is the 50th Vettes. All 2003 Vettes have the 50th emblem, but they are not all 50th anniverary editions.
I could be wrong on this, maybe they never made a '93 Vette, maybe they only made:
'90
'91
'92
40th
'94

Re: 93 40th anniv what's it worth (DEBBIEFL)
I think there is some confusion in the way we say things here. Here is MY take on this matter...
Anniversary "MODEL" is just that. The year model it was built. So any 1993 is an anniversary MODEL.
Anniversary "EDITION" is a special edition made in that years production run. So, the ruby car would be considered an anniversary EDITION... ( It could also be called an anniversary MODEL since it was built in 1993..)

I would even go further and describe any 2003 Corvette as the "50th anniversary model YEAR" and the AE red cars as the 50th anniversisary edition of the anniversary model year...

Actually, since they made Corvettes in 1953, 1992 would be the 40th year they made Corvettes. And 2002 would be the 50th year Corvettes were made. But I digress... I'm going to keep my 14th anniversary Vette.

Re: 93 40th anniv what's it worth (Rex Ruby)
FYI, I just sold my 1993 "Ruby" 40th Anniversay Edition coupe ( of which approx 6700 were built) My particular car was 1 of 139 built w/ 6-speed & Z07 suspension option. I would call this combination rather rare. Anyway I just sold it for 23K as it had only 15k one owner miles. Yes I have a 50th 6-speed coupe on order.
