Tach Wire??

Trying to find the tach wire on a 98 C5. Anyone know which one?

It's a PCM Wire, Red connector, White wire.
Forget which white one, there are 2.

#7 maybe?

Thanks...on my car, the white wire does not seem to be the tach wire. We are trying to install a window switch and it is not reading the tach rpm when we connect to the white wire.

This happened to me on my y2k vette. sometimes it's difficult to get that signal coming through clean when you tap into it. I can't really give any concrete advice except to say try tweaking the wire, wire tap a bit until you get a voltage reading on a multimeter.

it's a bit finicky just keep at it.

There's actually 4 white wires, 2 close together, 1 thicker Guage, 1 off on it's own. Use the one off on it's own.

Don't forget you MUST run the MSD RPM switches in 4-Cylinder mode with our PCM.

That means cutting the 2 loops of wire coming out of the MSD box to break those loops.
