Default FAST intake

I know...it is an old subject but has anyone with FI recently tried out the FAST 90mm intake and TB?

I would like to know this too. I am planning to do the same thing on my Z06. I think you can use a LS2 90 mm throttlebody with the FAST 90mm Intake. I've heard it's easier to tune this way.

Last I heard, the FAST intake was not capable of handling high boost levels.

I don't think it would help much at all, especially for the money. If I remember correctly, I think it was Andy w/A&A saying not to spend the money on it. But I'm not for sure it was him, but it was for sure one of the major forum vendors. I'm definitely going to spend my money else where

Doesn't look like a good cost/power.
Have you max'd out your blower?
I'd look at that or methanol before I'd mess with the intake.

Might want to wait for the LS7 intake instead.

Unless your going to change the heads, rockers etc the LS7 is completly different. It uses a retangle port design similar to the C5R heads. Hell, similar to virtually every race port..haha

My buddy Sean did (a fellow member, maybe he'll chime in). He's got a P1SC car making 600+rwhp. He recently tried the FAST intake and TB and it gave him zero HP. Absolutely nothing. MTI refunded his money.

Yeah...I am tired of the butt ugly stock intake and TB. Now the FAST intake is not the the ost beautiful but I think it looks better than stock and the TB is awesome. I am also thinking about the NX 85 TB that is sweet also.

My car better be done!..lol, I now live closer to you so we can cruise up to SB Nat. together. I am there. As long as its not same time as the Nopi show in Tampa. Are you doing that paint job we discussed in the IM? HIN judging is horrible and heard they are not the best orig. shows.

Isn't there an aluminum Ls1 manifold that can be ported and polished that would give a good appearance and maybe some more flow?
I think it was Weiand.

Jon....you are correct about HIN. But I have had many long conversations with the shows promoters and the head of NCCA. NCCA is the company that judges the shows. They said that there has been changes made to rules that should make it better. We will see. Honestly I am only going to get a stab at you know who's car again since he did not show at NOPI like he said. When is the Tampa NOPI show? Paint job is going to be very simular to what we talked about. I added some airbrushing also.

Roy...it is my understanding that the aluminum intakes are based off of the first LS1 intake...not the LS6 intake. Also there are some problems with heat soak. NX has a new aluminum intake that is supposed to be based off of the LS6. I am looking at that one also.

Jon...where are you living at now? You ever get a trailer for you car?

Never got a trailer. So much going into the car its kinda hard...LOL
Well, if you think HIN would be good I will consider it.
After the 18th of this month I am offically jobless. (want to hire me..LOL) I am living in Lakeland..around 30 mins from Tampa. VERY nice house. I am also only 40 mins from Orlando.

Get a coin and flip it to see which one of our cars will win...LOL
Its all in fun and you have such an amazing car it will be fun.

Lakeland....that is right up the road kid. I will be that way tomorrow. The local Corvette club is having a meeting at Ferman Chevy on Highway 60 at 7. I am going to drop in for a bit then proably hit Hooters. I also need to bring some wheels over to Gene this week in Lakeland. Proably also meet at the Hooter's on I4 lol. What are you doing for lunch on Thursday?
