How much Power can you get out of a built 347? I was going to go the 408 route but now I'm looking at F/I. Here is my main ? If I wanted 700 to the ground What would i need to get it done. I know probably f1 something. But need some suggestions. and prices.

I would have to say forged 347, TTI stage X, AFR heads, 9:1 compression, turbo cam with 15# boost.

Hi. see post on Mild d1 setup in forced induction. We ran out of fuel, so were not done yet. It's making 637 corrected to the rear. Good luck.

Forged bottom, nice heads, good blower cam, free flowing exhaust, AI, and a D1SC should be able to get you there.

347's can make SO much power its not funny. A 408 will have more torque down low and a little more power up top. The TTi Stage X will give you huge HP and Tq on a 347ci.

The F1R/C will also make an insane amount of power on a 347 when it is setup/tuned right. A PERFECT example of this is Randy/Eatrice's car. He has an F1R and made 790rwhp. I plan on getting my F1C to around 700rwhp on my 347ci next week. Keep your compression low so you can run more boost. Expect to pay in the mid 20k range if you want 700rwhp.

As for parts you will need every tuner will have a specific preferance.
This is 347ci parts that I went with at MTI

Lunati Billet Rods
Wiseco Pistons 9:1.1
MTI G1 Camshaft (228/232, .588/.575 - 113 LSA)
Stock Crank
Prototype ATI F1C 5.73:1 supercharger
ECS brackets
Twin 4.5inch Intercooler's
3inch piping
Exedy Twin Disk
LS6 intake
ARP Head Studs
7.4 Inch Hardened Pushrods
DeWitts Rad.
LG Long tube headers
Cometic Head Gaskets
MTI Stage II LQ9 Cylinder Heads
Ferra Valves
Racetronix Fuel Pump
Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump
Double Roller Timing Chain
Ported and Polished Oil Pump
Comp R Roller Lifters
ECS 3.42 Gears with Harden shaft

We have put 1017 HP to the wheels with a 347 and twin turbos. The boost was 22PSI. You can achieve your goal with a 347 and P1SC, D1SC, or twin turbos. The most cost effective route is SC. You would need to pay close attention to the details, IE cylinder heads, piston design, cam profile, super charger or turbo kit, and so on. Being in Cal give Andy a call at A&A.

Keep the LS6 intake, FAST doesnt provide that much more HP.
The 1 7/8 is perfect for your aplication. The 1 5/8 would make a little more TQ

You Don't Know Mike... He had a Bullet Proof 408 with a monster Cam and a TNT F2 Nitrous Kit. Too Bad it all has to go.

In Mike's Eyes there is no such thing as too much power...

(we think he's trying to compensate for something)

Origionally you were asking for 700rwhp, now 500rwhp. Which is it? There's a huge difference between the two. 500=stock block w/ SC or turbo or Nitrous. 700=specifically built motor + FI. And don't forget the supporting equipment (built diff, clutch, exhaust, AI, tires, etc...).

700rwhp isn't too hard to achieve on a 346 with pump gas, it just takes proper planning.

And a TON more money.
500rwhp with a Maggie or N20 you can achieve VERY easy. Price range from 3000-9000
700rwhp is VERY expensive when done right. Mid 20k with a built motor and all the ness. evils.
