Just wanted to let you guys know about them. I ordered a 347 from them from their last special. Chris personally took the time to call me about my engine and review my setup with me. He explained some things about FI engines that I didn't know. He also asked about my power goals for a possible ring upgrade. When I told him my setup he advised that I probably WOULDN'T need to upgrade the rings.

I think it shows a lot of honesty and integrity to advise someone against an upgrade rather than trying to sell them something that they dont need.

Anyone considering buying an engine should really consider them, they are a top notch outfit and fast too! My ship date is 3/15 and I can't wait!!!

Sounds good. Haven't really heard any complaints on their up front soft skills.

Cheers,

flynbludream, I have to agree, I ordered my new shortblock from AP Engineering and I received the same treatment. They called me back to discuss the engine build. We discussed the other requirements for my setup and they made suggestions so my goals can be achieved.

I went with the 370ci instead of the stock cubes. I absolutely cannot wait for the thing to be shipped. I'm getting so excited it's disgusting! At any rate, if I am not mistaken, I will be the first guy on the forum running this particular setup? 370ci + A&A P1 blower!

flynbludream, when is your ship date?

Agree I bought all my motor parts from them and they were great to work with.

I'm definitely going with a turbo setup. I just haven't decided which one yet. Right now its a toss up btw TTI x and PTK. We will see. Hogurt, ship date is in the first post.

Don't you have a local trusted machinest near you?

Buy the parts from a ***** on line... save the money for the machine work for somebody local that you can look in the eye. Did I mention the shipping savings on an assembled shortblock?

Good Luck... you've been around long enough... we've had a few words over the last couple of years but if your ready to pull the trigger... best bet is to keep transactions as close as possible.

Bill - I couldn't agree with you more. I couldn't imagine ordering a motor from someone out of state just to try saving a few bucks. Believe me - there are plenty of shops locally that I wouldn't trust to align a few pullies much less build a motor. Caveat Emptor.

Well you would still have to pay to ship the parts here so that negates a lot of those savings. To be honest with you I would rather put my faith in someone who knows their way around an LS1
and has some proven cars out there. Also from what I have seen I am saving quite a bit more than a few bucks. $2300 for a built shortblock with no core charge? I don't think anyone is within $500 of that. After talking to Chris and seeing how he deals with people 1:1, I have every confidence in his shop.

I would not trust any machine shop local to me to work on a push lawn mower.

Keep us posted on your decision on which system. PTK is my first choice at present but haven't heard much experiences yet on this system.

They were custom diamond pistons specified for my 10.7:1 compression and nitrous use.
