i think im gonna get a supercharger sometime over the next year. i like the looks of the maggie but dont like the fact you have to get a new hood. i like the vortech over the ati, it looks freakin awesome under the hood.
how hard is this thing to install? i have some buddies at work, but they are all mustang nuts.
one guy bolted up a vortech on his early 90's mustang and it freakin hauls.
should i be ok to attempt the install myself with the help of some pretty good mechanics i know? from the prices i have been seeing it looks like installation and tuning will be another 2-3k, which i dont see the point of spending since the car is stock now. it comes with its own programmer right?
are the instructions with it pretty straightforward? i read that you have to drill the oil pan, is that as scary as it sounds?
just lookin for some info the vortech. thanks, dustin
Do yourself a favor had have a reputable shop install it. If done right, it is a bulletproof kit. Mine is a daily driver with 15,000 blower miles on it already. I have never had a single issue except excessive smiling . There is a lot to the vortech kit so research a good shop before you make the move.
I have a kit for sale for a smoking price of $3,500. It is complete minus the fuel injectors which I may be able to provide and the programmer. I would have it Dyno tuned anyways instead of using the programmer. Let me know if you are interest. The kit was on a 2004 Z06 for less than a year and everything is in good shape. Thanks Dave
