Default Which S/C ???

I am looking for advice on a S/C. The car is a pretty much stock A4, (cat back exaust and intake) and I am looking to spice it up a little. Not looking for massive HP and upgrades, just to make a little boost and install a blow off valve. I was thinking about the Procharger!!! Any suggestions would help. Thanks

Explain your driving style a little better, what are you expectations hp wise, driveability, do you race?

No racing, maybe an occasional 1/4 mi trip in the future, but nothing really competitive. Looking for reliability as i drive the car a lot. Would like to maintain mostly stock car otherwise. I want to keep hp under/around 500 to hopefully prevent tearing everything else up. Is this realistic?

I have Andy's D1SC kit, full exhaust, and alky injection. I made 523rwhp/506rwtq stopping at 5600rpm because of too much boost. Judging by the torque numbers, I'd say we were on our way to about 550rwhp had we not stopped early. I'd say the basic P1SC kit by Andy or ECS would get you what you want. Reliablity is great. Power is great.

Those are some great #'s. I will look into the P1SC kit. Unfortunately i am on the east coast and would not be able to have Andy install for me. I will check around and see if anyone knows good people in my area for the install. Thanks for the input.

Hmm, East coast eh? I suppose them good ol' boys over at East Coast Slowcharging might be able to help.

Just kidding....

Seriously though, if your on the east coast, talk to Chris or Doug at East Coast Supercharging, they are a supporting vendor and are top notch. I have delt with them personally many times before, and will many times again.

If you are looking for someone to install or help you install a supercharger let me know. I am currently installing an ATI S/C with an A&A bracket in my 97 A4. See siq for current installs. I just installed a set of Kooks LT headers and high flow cats. I am guessing I will get around 460+ rwhp with my setup. I also know a guy who tunes LS1's if you are interested.

Hard to go wrong with either the A&A or ECS setup. I think it would be difficult to make fewer than 475 rwhp with either kit.

Once I get the Vette uncovered for the spring, I will touch base with you and maybe take a ride down. I live outside of Manchester NH.

Give me a call. There are a number of shops around the country that can install my system for you.

I just got the ATI P-1 s/c from A&A on my zo6 and it is scary fast. (I drove out to cali from kansas to have andy install it and only got one speeding ticket .Andy had it done in three days while I took the kids to disney. Car runs like stock until you hit it and then you better hold on. The fuel and boost gauges look nice but I don't know how you have time to look at them as I am just trying to keep the car in a straight line. . I have the magnacharger s/c on my other c5 and it hits early and hard but doesn't keep pulling like a freight train like the ATI s/c , that's why I am changing the stock pulley on the mag and putting the ECS alky kit on.
Both s/c are great and you will enjoy either one. Andy's service was top notch, drive in and drive out, no worries, great product.
