i was wondering if any of you guys have ran into this problem. after i installed my msd digital window switch. when driving or reving, the tach will jump\drop a lot at certain rpms. the car still seems to run fine. i have the msd connected to the #10 pin white wire off the ecu. and it's soldered nicely. any clues?

Never had that happen. I always wire tapped the wire instead of soldering.
Wire tap connector also, a good quality one, and then tapped. No problemo. When soldering use a high content silver type, like on high end electronics.
at first i did have a tap connector on it. then i thought that might have been causing it, so i just soldered it using the normal rosin core solder i use on everything else at work (i'm a bmw tech). i haven't had a chance to see if the rpm's jump on the msd yet. if they don't i probably won't worry about it.
Its a bad connection. Eventually your tach will fully stop functioning like mine did. And after you hook it back up you have to reset your computer before the tach will work again. I suggest Hooking up just the tach wire with no msd, just make sure you have a good connection you dont have to solder it. Then start the car and make sure it is fine, if it is fine then that means it was just a bad connection, if not that means the pin into the computer is bad. I had problems with the connection to the window switch as well, make sure you use the same gauge wire at least on the connection and you should be fine.
On a related note, can one tap into the pcm tach wire to, say, hook up your window switch, then tap into the window switch's wire (the one now tapped into the pcm tach wire) to add a second tach or other device that needs a tach signal? Just curious as to whether there would be any signal degradation that would impede the second device from sensing the tach signal....

Yes you can. I did this tapped #10 ran to behind batt and then split to two different WS tach inputs. Both WS's work correctly and dash board tach and HUD tach.
