Since Iam only putting out 440 hp I would think that stock rods
would be good for a extra couple of hundred rpm.
The design stress within an engine is more a function of centrifugal forces than combustions pressure. (head gaskets aside).
For the 2-3 shift, the gearing perdicts a 2400RPM swing but with shift time and slip it is effectively only 2000rpm. the intersection of this 2000rpm segment on the dyno would be ideal, but getting the transmission to behave like that is another problem. My car is comanded to shift at 6200rpm and hopefully completing before 6400, limited to 6600 which I feel is being aggressive. I have similar mods as you.

I have not experienced programming my car to shift at 6200 and
having it shift at 6400. The shift point programming that I have done
using my Predator seemed to indicate the opposite. If I programmed it
to shift at 6200 it seemed to shift at 6100 or less. I have seen quite a
number of dyno runs from various tuners and they do not seem to have
a problem with their conscience running stock bottom ends right up to
the fuel cutout which is 6600. I have heard that the C5 powder rod is
the strongest rod that chevy ever put into a production engine . Iam
not interested in exploding my motor but I do not see any posts from
people who have broken C5 rods.
