i guess know one saw the post on ls1 tech were ed write broke his on ls2 and herd from gm there may be issues
Will you please post a link to this thread. I looked for it briefly and could not find it on Tech. I am currently funding a LS2 stroker build up at MTI so I am interested in this issue since I heard there was no double roller option available and the LS2 single was okay. If there is a problem, I want to know now and find a solution.

I asked Thunder Racing about an upgrade and this is the response I got:

Sorry Sean but there is no LS2 double roller timing chain to my knowledge. The Cam sprocket it specific to the LS2 and there is no after market one that I know of. The factory LS2 chain is much beefier then the LS1 chain so I don't really see a problem. The only replacement chain that I would have would be the JWIS chain that would work with the factory gears. Hope this helps.......
some guys are useing stock!!! im not!!! and JWIS chain is heat treated ...fine for ls2 ..the gear didn't break also im useing tensioner as well my motor will peek at 7000 rpm im sure the c5r race team has a reson to up grade timming chain hit hit ps i never said it was dubble but i have friend making some billet but there not redy soooooo i bought from THUNDER thanks
