I am sure many have had the problem you are describing, but most will not admit to it here. If the part does not have an EO number on it there are no guarantees about passing smog due to either emissions or a visual test. Are there cars running around that have non EO parts? Yes, I am sure there are. This whole issue is one of the reasons I went with the Vortech Supercharger that had an EO number. Many of the P-series prochargers have EO #'s now for the 5lbs boost version. If you have a kit with the EO # on it bring the CARB EO (executive order information) with you to your inspection and it should be alright.
