Default May go NOS

I have a stock C5 (cat-back, intake) and kinda wanna go with nitrous. I found a deal on NOS 05177 Dry kit w/ plugs never used for a good price and its local. I don't know much about the juice. I have near 50k on the motor and she's still running strong. What do I need to know? Is dry worse? I wanna stay safe. I plan to do the install myself and run an 75-100 shot. Any advise? Should I get this kit, i'll save like 250ish.

Thanks
-Steve

I say go for it....I just juiced my ZO6 and I'm hooked. As for wanting to be safe as long as you take the proper precautions (FPSS, WOT switch, Window switch, colder plugs, etc) you should be just fine. Head on over to the nitrous forum at ls1tech.com and read, read, read..All the info you need is there.......Hope this helps...

N20 is definitely going the best bang for the buck power adder. I would think that your motor would stay together provided you keep the shot reasonable (say 100) as well have all of the supporting hardware.

Good Luck,

Mark

The 5177 is a PERFECT kit for a ~100 shot. I've got one myself....still trying to get the time for the install though. But.....I researched the crap out of the thing......and kept coming back to the same conclusion.....the 5177 is perfect for that power level.

This site has ALL the info you need.....and will answer most of your questions. I strongly urge you to bookmark it.....

http://home.ican.net/~jsetter/nitrous.html

You may also wanna take a look at this site.....in his PHOTOS section he has some good pics of his install.....

http://home.comcast.net/~weaver.robe...tos.html-.html

Here's another good site showing an install of a 5177....

http://www.geocities.com/johnglennc5/nos.html

And finally.....go over to ls1tech.com and troll the nitrous section there. Mostly F-body guys.....but some SERIOUS nitrous knowledge.

Good luck!
