I agree call Andy. He talked me into the stage II forged because I chose to go with the DS1C setup. I also purchased some of his blower heads for more performance--more psi without worrying about detention. I would use the PS1C if I was going to stay with the stock engines and for a margin of safety get the ECS alky kit I also got one for my A&A build up. Just my two cents after talking with Andy about what I wanted in the future.

Gee, when did you do this testing???

I just changed from the P1SC to the D1SC. As Slowhawk mentioned there's big difference down low. My car was more responsive and made a fair amount more power below ~3700 rpm with the P1SC (even with less timing I believe). For 95% of street driving the car felt better and made more power. Above ~4000 rpm the D1SC makes more power and feels stronger. My D1SC is also a lot louder than my P1SC was. Some people didn't notice the P1SC blower whine on my car, with the D1SC everyone knows.

If the car is pretty close to stock I'd say definitely go with the P1SC. If it's an LS6, that's a tough call... the P1SC is better down low (the #'s Don gave above are no BS) and can pretty easily make 600 rwhp. Anything more than a stock LS6 w/ headers I'd say you're better off with the D1SC. If you really want to turn up the wick, go with the D1SC.

If you know you'll never go above ~ 625 rwhp, w/o a doubt go with the P1SC. BTW, planting 600+ rwhp on the street isn't easy... even with Nittos!

Don, thanks again for your diligent work this week!!!

Im putting 643 to the rear wheels on a P1 with no problem (using 555RII's). Andy said I could go to a 3.6 pulley and should not have a problem with belt slippage with his new bracket. I have andy's forged motor and afr heads. Im thinking with the 3.6 pulley i'll get about 670 rwhp.
