Gap on TR6 Plugs
Thanks!
They come gapped at .035". Anything bigger on my FI setup and the spark gets blown out.Edit: Changed post from 0.35" (about 1/3") to .035". Damn dyslexia.

Actually I disagree.
I called NGK and spoke with their Technician for about 20 mins regarding TR6s and TR7 plugs. Also spoke to him about Copper vs. Iridium cores.
The Tech said the TR6s come pre-gapped at .039. When I pulled my plugs out (TR6s) to swap them with the TR7s...using 2 different gap setting tools, both indicated on my tool .0385-.039...it was hard to see which one they were really at.
I also asked the Tech about the boost range of the plug (TR6) with an LS1 (he actually knew about LSx), he asked how much boost I was trying to push. When I told him 18-20# and described that my car was misfiring a little at 16#, he recommended the TR7 IX which come pre-gapped at .038 and are a colder plug. He told me they have boosted applications that run the TR7 up to 50# (must be ricers).
However this was all before I found the 3 broken spark plug wires on my car. If I had known that I had 3 broken spark plug wires I would have kept the TR6s in the car and gapped them to .032. The Tech said you are defeating the purpose of the TR6 if you gap them below .032 and did not recommend really going below .035 on the TR6 or TR7.
Another benefit of the TR6s is that they are only $1.99 at www.sparkplugs.com vs.$7.99 for the TR7 IX plugs.
If you would like to verify the information that I have typed out here. I would encourage you to call the tech @ NGK. www.ngk.com very cool dude.
