Default 408 ?

Hey fellas,

Just wanted to see what kind of numbers y'all were making NA and w/ nitrous/blower/turbo......

I'm getting my car tuned this afternoon and it is set up for nitrous w/ 11.1 compression ratio. If anyone has a similar setup, would be interested in speaking w/ them. I think I will swap for lower compression next year and get boosted again.....(KB if all the bugs get worked out or possibly TT)

Thanks for looking....

Hey Marko,

Long time since I've talked to you. You put a 408 in that thing?

Alright then....my NA 408 pulled 525 RWHP with an LS6 intake and stock PnP TB.

Who knows what I'll get with the FAST intake and 90mm

I put down 463/ 445. It made over 400 lbs ft of torque from 3,000 to 7,200 rpm. Feels great down low, but a little disappointed w/ the dyno numbers since my blower setup made more.

I have an LS-6 intake, stock throttle body, stock MAF, 1 3/4'' headers, stock underdrive pulley, gutted cats and full exhaust......

There is a lot of room for growth, I'm just happy to be back on the road.

How does that idle? That looks like a big cam, but I'm not used to big cube motors and what is "big"....

I keep coming back to an LS2 stroker over an ATI kit, but I thought I'd be giving up a lot of power to the blower.

Appearantly not!

Edit- I just noticed you're running 11.75:1. Did you manage to pull that off on pump gas?!

Marko,
Glad you got your motor in! I am getting my stuff together for Sep (clutch, Rear End, TB, CAM, Pullies, TB) in hopes of a blower in March. After the ATI news, not sure what way to go now. I'd realy like to hear how your stroker compares to the bower... Thanks brother and it must pull like a damn train!

408ci Iron block 11.1:1 static compression ratio
Fresh LQ4 block bored .030 over
Eagle 4" crank
Eagle 6.125" rod w/ L19 bolt upgrade
Diamond flat top pistons
Comp OE style lifters
A.R.P. head bolts and main studs
Cometic MLS head gaskets
TEA Stage III cylinder heads (flow 318 @ .600 lift on the intake w/ excellent midlift numbers)
Comp XER grind 242/248 .608/.612 112 lsa

I don't think the cam is small IMHO.....

I just don't have all the supporting mods needed to break 500 and it was 95 degrees here. FAST intake, throttle body, MAF, 1 7/8'' headers, and cutouts would get me there no problem...... the only problem is that I can get a NX kit for a lot less than all the stuff i just mentioned......

thanks for looking guys....i'm really happy w/ the package. pull like a freight train.

BTW, I got my car tuned at RPM in Raleigh, NC if anyone is interested. 919-661-RWHP.
