Thats what I wanted also , Power and Stealth . I didn't want the whine of a blower either . From the downloaded sound clips of various forum members , I choose TT's over blowers just for that reason. I am amazed at how quiet my Twins really are , about half as loud as stock ! Even with the cats gone.

Twins are the way to go if you want the " always there " power without drawing attention to yourself with a jet engine noise coming out from under the hood. It just seemed wrong to have that sound coming out from a car that looks like as sleek as the Corvette .

Currently I am running 10 psi and about 600 Rwhp on the stock internals .

So far so good , but I just got the kit installed and am loving every minute of it .

Good luck on your decision .

I Have an LPE TT and up until I got the LPE TWIN TURBO Fuel Rail coverd they did not know she was a TT until I told them. They were burrying their heads in the engine compartment asking "Where are the turbos?"

with Mike on this. At best its splitting hairs and then you gotta comare that to the number of C5 TT's LPE has done. They are well into the few hundreds in terms of those numbers

There are tons of cars running around with 550-600 rwhp that last for years at those power levels. It's all in the fuel and the tune.

not TT's from one tuner and I think he's looking for a TT and for it to be stealth.

TTi is around $14K (I think ...)

LPE's is 18K for an MN6 ($21K for an A4 I think) but also includes a conservative HC and the exhaust of your choice. The LPE Warranty is 2 years. Not sure what the TTi is. About 502-515 rwhp with the LPE Stage I TT. Will give you about 6 lbs of boost.

Where do you live?

Isnt anything over 10k sort of ridiculous for a bolt on twin turbo kit?? The majority of a turbo kit is pretty cheap, the only things that are more of a "Custom" piece are the manifolds....Everything else can be bought for a few grand...

Yes - but you're mostly talking about procharged cars that have a very peaky power curve, thus saying that the torque curve is pretty friendly. Only time these cars make 600 rwhp is right before redline, thus a very limited rpm range - and how long are they living there? Now, with a TT, you'll make peak before redline, and likely hold it to redline, extending the range over which this critical power level is produced in the engine.

What's the point? I think 600 rwhp is really pushing it on the stock pistons - one little thing gets out of whack, and you've melted a piston. On the other hand - if it wasn't such a pain in the ***, I would have run 585 rwhp on my stock bottom end for a while just to see how long it would last, but of course, then I wouldn't be able to turn up the boost either.

The TTi kit is about $10K with ball bearing turbos.

As you can imagine, the market for C5 twin turbo systems is somewhat limited. It's hard to make up the fixed R&D costs in volume, so each kit will cost a bit more than you'd ordinarily expect given its components.

Ridiculous? Show me where all the other C5 TT's are if you think it is so simple and cheap to do.

I cant speak for TTI but LPE is not a bolt on. It requires lots of labor, the parts are top of the line and if you saw setup you would see why it requires so many hours work. The turbos are put down low I believe beause the C5 is a true bottom feeder. Remember, there is also a HC as part of the package.

Is LPE a bit overprieced? Maybe - maybe not but if they are its not by much and like any other business, until there is some TT competition, the price will remain up there
