If I squeeze the throttle I can grab traction all the way through until I grab second. I'm still working on not spinning second gear without granny shifting.
Those tires need upgrading ... even for 350 HP.

I went Nittos Street Tires .... big improvement. Now I'm stepping up to the STS Twin Turbo @ 535 RWHP. I know those Street Tires will not handle things now.

Who has a ideal DR Tire suggestion for 535 RWHP / TT car ?

It depends on what you want (because as I said previously, I'm not aware of a tire that will do it all). The M/T ET drag radial seems to be the best DR for drag racing i.e. from a dig, not the "from a roll" BS. They are not for taking corners quickly, though. The Nitto DRs and the old style BFG DRs are actually pretty decent in the curves but give up time from a dig compared to a cheater slick. The current BFG DR is OK from a dig but sucks BIGTIME cornering. The Nitto RIIs (which I have now) give the best compromise IMO, but they are definitely more suited to hard accleration from a roll rather than from a dead stop.

Indeed, drag tires are for drag racing, not road racing...........

With 600+ rwhp, Im actually losing races or winning by a much narrower margin than I should be. The 335/30 Pilot Sports are nothing more than shrimp on the bbq, part throttle in second on a cold night will absolutely blaze them, never mind first, the tires spool up as soon as you put your foot in it. It takes serious concentration not to just sit and spin.

How does it feel?

Well, youve got to short shift first gear, no question, no more than 4500 before you hit second, if you bang the gear, you'll spin clean through the entire gear, if youre really gentle, the car will hook back up, then break loose again, third gear Ive never had a problem with, but I havent tried a very aggressive shift.......what I HAVE done is broken the tires loose at 90mph shifting to fourth, and it wasnt a very hard shift either. THAT stunt bumped the ol' heart rate up a little.

It feels like you strapped on a rocket booster. I get back in a stock Z06 after driving mine, and jam it to the floor in second, it feels like I could almost make a cup of tea before I need to shift gear..........and this is a fast car, even stock!!!!
