Dam!t Dam!t Dam!t.

Andy for the love of G@d, why cant you just leave **** alone?? I talked to my financial planner (Jennifer) and she gave me the "whatever you want to do honey" statement.
So I consider that a go..

What will have to be changed? Head unit, Brackets,???
Can I do the Y-trim?? Isnt that bigger?

Better yet, How about you bring Charlie and the Wife's back out and I'll buy you all the steak you can handle.. Even trade??

Come on man?? I dont even think I got the CC statement on the LAST 3K I spent with you.

Sorry if I missed it, but what kind of boost number were you seeing at this power level? Pulley size? Slipping issues? The torque looks great compared to the ATI unit... which is very consistant with what I've seen from the big "V" units for years.

BTW, quit screwing around with the SC's, finish that damn TT system!!!

Andy:

How would the T-Trim work on a 427 motor? I've got a NA C5R 427, and have gotten a little bored with only 530 RWHP. My former ride was a 383 LT1 Camaro with a T-Trim Vortech, and that blower had no difficulty making 15 pounds of boost in that application. Would I have to go with a Y-Trim to do the same on my better breathing 427, and would a Y-Trim head fit your setup?

That seems to be the question that everybody is answering. I bet it was around 15 psi to make that much HP. Can't wait for Andy to give us more detail and show us the Dyno sheet for the other trim.

That is outstanding!!!

Does this setup use a standard CCW T-Trim head unit or does it require the C5 version of the CCW T-Trim head unit?

How much boost are you running?

Just to answer a few questions.
This is a T Trim with a 3.10 6 rib pulley.( Vortechs take a smaller pulley due to the lower step up ratio) I didn't see any evidence of belt slip. I think the numbers back that up.
I believe it made 13# of boost.
The S Trim, with the same pulley, made 10#. I'll get that graph posted today. That's probably the one of most interest to the average guy.
The S Trim kit will be $5500 including the Vortech race BOV, 42# injectors, in tank fuel pump or Boost A Pump and a base tune. That's pretty complete. It also carries a CARB #.
The T Trim will include 60# injectors, in tank fuel pump or Boost A Pump, Race valve and a base tune.. The price will be $6500.
An 8 rib upgrade is available for $950.
OH, BTW, I also have a JT Trim to test just for curiosity.

Hi Andy,

Great results!! Couple of quick questions...

How are you handling the oil return to the pan?

With a built A4 trans, 3000 stall and stock motor (with valvesprings and hardened pushrods) what would you expect RWHP/RWTQ wise on pump gas? (Say 91 octane and a safe tune for longevity)

Yesterday when you told me you made 715hp, I thought you were talking about the TT setup...then Vetterdstr called me this morning and asked me what I thought about the Vortech setup..then I put it together and called Andy to check in on the progress.

I forgot to ask him though, and I can't tell from the pics, if you used the aftermarket regulator and return setup...the same system that I have and that was on Lance's car.

If you didn't you probably should. The 60lb Motos are rated 60lbs at 43.5psi. They are approx 75lb at 60psi. But the SC places higher fuel demands at the top end. But Andy and Charlie know this..so I am sure it is just about having a little more time to fiddle around.

What was the FP at 6300rpms?

By the way nice tq numbers, Andy told me he layed the graph over mine and it actually made a more tq then my TT setup at 2800 rpms...which makes sense because mine doesn't really spool until 3400 rpms on the street and around 3600 on the dyno.

Nevertheless, when comparing it to my D1 setup (545 rear tq) that I had before, it did not make as much tq as this T trim is making. I was pushing 12-13# as well.

Must be some truth to the impeller design being more efficient. Vortech made that claim...now it looks to be true on paper as well.

What is really nice too is the added height gained for the blower inlet, by the rotation of the Blower Unit itself. Not only does the belt wrap appear to be about 80% (cam locked), but the Rad doesn't have to be lowered as much to fit the kit, like with the previous Procharger Head Units. I like the straight shot for the coupler going into the inlet of the blower.

What a nice benefit for Andy that Vortech is right down the street too. With a lot of the new TT kits out...this new SC kit should keep the SC alive and well for the C5.

Good job you guys!

It will be interesting to see the biggest Trim that will fit with this bracket setup. I would like to see what a YS Trim would do.

[QUOTE=Chrispy]Hi Andy,

Great results!! Couple of quick questions...

How are you handling the oil return to the pan?

[QUOTE=Andy]You can barely hear the blower and the cam is a total sleeper.

So Andy in addition to the question above.

1. Can you request a loud whining Vortec?
2. Do they test each one like Paxton?
My deposit is still with you and would love to have an S trim which you could hear from a block away. To heck with sleeper. I want people to hear mine coming from down the street

Thanks a LOT Andy,

You are making me feel really bad about the PISC that you just sent me. I haven't even installed the thing yet, and now your new one sounds so much better. I really would have liked that "quiet, stealth" type of boost. I'm hoping I don't have the "marbles in a tin can" sound that I keep hearing about. How about a trade while the parts are still in the box???

Also, I lost your email on a tuner here in Dallas. Could you please send that to me again.

Thanks
