Andi Green standup guy!
Relatively new here. Mostly hang out at Z06vette. Well, to make a long story short, I bought a forged short block from A&A, had a problem with a vibration that shouldn't be there (sh*t happens). Took the car back to Andi, had him drive the car to see if I'm crazy or that there might be a problem. Andi drove the car, and concurred that something was amiss and he volunteered me another short block. Didn't give me any excuses just said that he would fix it. We agreed on the fix some additional upgrades, shook hands, and that was it.
Well let me say publicly, that A&A Corvette is a VERY STANDUP shop. Doing business with high quality people such as Andi is defintely a plus.
ANDI, THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR HONOR, ETHICS, AND PRINCIPALS.
You could have hung me out to dry and you didn't!

Rod, Andy ( and now Charlie too ) is the most unquestionably FAIR and HONEST individual I have EVER dealt with. It would be nice if Andy's work ethic became contagious in the So. Cal aftermarket world...and in the business world for that matter!
It had a noticeable vibration right after I installed the motor. I pulled the clutch and had it rebalanced. It was definately out of whack. I drove the car after the clutch and it seemed fine. I really should have driven it further. If you drive it normally, you don't feel a thing. If you sort of let it "hover" at around 3000 RPM under no load there is a subtle vibration. My bad. No excuse for letting it out the door.
Anyway, I have another one built and I figured I'd just swap it out and get him on his way. Rod, being a true gearhead, says" how about something bigger" So we're going to do a 402 instead.
I'll give him full credit for the 346, just charge him the difference in the motor price and install it for free. Fair 'nuff? He thought so.
Besides, I figured that if I was real nice to him, he's start spelling my name correctly!
On another note. I just installed a short block that a customer bought elseware. Almost immediately, it had signs of a leaky head gasket and a ton of blowby. I pulled the block and found #7 sleeve was actually above the deck on one side and noticeably below the deck on the other. The aluminum is cracked on the outside of the sleeve but the sleeve itself is fine. Thewre's also a ridge all the way around the sleeve. It's right down the middle of the sleeve. Almost like there's a sleeve within a sleeve. I've never seen this before on a factory block.
My guess is that the original supplier got a GM reject block by mistake.
I just hope they'll make it right for him.

Ya try and tell as many car guys as you can about a cool shop, and what do ya get? Your chops busted because ya can't spell. Geez!!!
