There is a difference on the power curve between the two for sure. I think the Vortech would be a better street blower and the Paxton (Novi) would be a better strip blower. The Paxton makes power higher up.
The paxton is made exclusivley by east coast supercharging and the only paxton part on it is the head unit.
The vortechs you have been seeing lately dynoing high numbers are from A&A corvettes and again the only vortech part is the head unit.
Both are pretty much equal... If your on the west coast go to A&A, if your on the east coast, go to ECS. Simple as that

I'm sorry but you could not be any more wrong here. Although the NOVI is great for the track, we are making more low end power and torque than ever before with it. If your ever in the area, stop on in and I'll change your opinion extremly quickly.
lets get the west coast F/I guys to race the east coast F/I guys. Then the winner decides.
I'll start deciding now
We don't drag race out here. We just drive around and look cool.
We have dyno queens, you guys have drag queens.
Unless you're in West Hollywood, then it's all drag queens!

It seems the West Coast owners frequent the race track more than the strip...although there are many Drag Strips in California/Nevada..most of the time you see ricers and trucks on them....the last time I went I got 2 runs in 3 hours....couple of accidents taking up time as well. This makes it take hours to get in a couple of runs on a Test N Tune date. The only other option is to reserve the track....which takes a lot of money and participation.
Maybe we should have a 3 Category event.
Strip, Track, and Show and Shine. It would be interesting to see how some of the more experienced "Straight line" drivers do in the corners.
Since I have done the first 2 events in C5s and previous cars and bikes. It would be more fun for me to just meet a few of you East Coast owners and shoot the **** and Drink Beer. I thought maybe I would get a chance to do the PRI show and meet the ECS crew..but I can't swing it.

The problem here on the West Coast is traction!
No matter how big our gears and wide and soft our tires are-we can't get traction!
It's a big mystery, probably got something to do with aliens or the CIA!
It's just our sorry lot!
Until we figure how to get the power to the ground, I guess we're just stuck!

Thats too bad you cant make it to PRI, it should be a good time!
I was just making light of the other post previous to mine. No "colors" needed It's all in fun
But dont underestimate the straight line guys, I have one C5 for drag queening and one for the road coarse.(I like the road coarse better) But like you said, I'd rather meet up and shoot the crap and empty a few glasses!
I thought allot of Vortech technology migrated to Paxton when Paxton was bought by same company (investment group) that owns Vortech. Specs are very similar and when you look at manuals they still have Vortech drawings.
Doug and Chris, I guess that makes you the Dyno Kings. You know what Kings do to Queens.
I guess SynergyMotorsports.net can be the, "Ace of Spades," in the hole.
We drag race and road race. Anytime anyone wants to play on the drag strip or on the road course we will come out and play on the West Coast. Maybe we will invite you soon.
Sac, Infenion, Thunderhill, Laguna or Button Willow.
