Having a D1SC with the same oil capacity of the P1SC, I thought this was interesting:
"Rapid oil temperature rise of the so-called “self contained” design, coupled with catastrophic failure at the 45k RPM operating point while on the test stand indicate a practical upper limit of 40k RPM, under continuous operating conditions."
I read the test and am still looking for a name of an independent lab that did the testing. Far as I know, Vortech did the test. The bottom of each page stated Copyright by Vortech or something like that. Seems Vortech is desperate enough to scam the buyer (buyer beware). That should point you in the direction of an ATI or the maggie.

hahahahahaha. Riiiighhht. Everyone who switched from the Votech to a MagnaCharger say I. If I were doing another blower buildup it would be either the DTE Vortech package or the ECS Paxton setup.

Still not convinced. You probably work for one of them and are a salesman in disguise. (Desperation?) Say, in your picture, which one is you? The big guy with the horns or the little one without hair? If your the little one, sorry about the premature fallout. If your the big guy, you look ready for Halloween-gonna trick or treat in your vette?

Somehow I strongly doubt Mdhmi works for Paxton or Vortech.
To start with, I know each manufacturer tries to overstate a competitor’s weakness, but they couldn’t fabricate a compressor map. If they did, I’m certain there would be law suit. I think there was at least one law suit in the past. A compressor map is the means by which to evaluate a compressor and are used by NASA, PW, GE, Garrett… The P-1SC's map is dismal, I think Whittle’s first jet engine compressor was in that ballpark. I’m sure D-1SC is better as impeller has more of a traditional optimized wheel.
The question that begs to be asked is why does ATI not publish compressor maps and put threads like this to bed.
