Default Which fuel pump?

Need help, deciding which fuel pump. Have head and cam motor making 420rwhp but i also have a 100hp wet shot. Do I need a fuel pump if the car goes over 520-530rwhp? Was thinking about the LPE 225 fuel pump. What do you guys think? Sure dont want the motor to run lean.

Thanks for all your help!

With the LPE pump going for ~$300 I would much rather go with a Racetronix for the same price. What I really want to know is where to get the high flow Walboro to replace the stocker.

Do yourself a favor, up the $ for the LPE and you'll save yourself in the future. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

"Noisy" is all relative. I did find that when I replaced my stock fuel pump with a Racetronix one, there was a noticable increase in the sound coming from the unit. I correct it in one of two ways:

1) Drive faster so the exhaust & motor drain out the sound of the fuel pump

2) Crank the stereo up

Racetronix is a good pump. You'll be happy...

Don't they both use the same pump? Why would you want to pay extra $$$ to LPE for the same thing when you can get the pump and harness in a Ractronix kit?

LPE kit comes wih the fuel bucket, so the swap is a hell of a lot easier

How about carrying the mother-in-law in the passenger seat and having her bitch you out the whole time you drive? That would also drown out the noise!

I agree. Has LPE gone up in price? I paid $229 for mine back in march.

No, not the same, I've had both. LPE has an exclusive patent with Walbro. Besides, last time I bought one it was in the low $200 range also.

All I know is what I've read, but I've heard many mixed things about the Racetronix, and all good about the LPE. I guess it comes down to how much you value your time and effort switching fuel pumps. I'd consider the price difference cheap insurance.

The Racetronix C5 pump assembly is now the same as the LPE unit which includes the bucket (GRJ420) plus many extras we have added. Racetronix and LPE have a co-operative business relationship. There is product flowing in both directions. Yes, customers can order select Racetronix product through LPE as well as some custom items.

I thought this was the case, as I previously listed. I was in the process of looking for the post that you stated that in a while ago. I didn't want to let my mouth overload my **** so I went looking for backup proof.

I don't see any indication of a bucket in the picture on your website?

The web ad has not been updated. The C5 system ships with the GRJ420 installed in the bucket complete with a new flex tube and upgraded in-tank wiring harness. All new seals are used. A new filter sock is provided as well.
