Is there a good place to run the line for a boost gauge through the firewall? I just finished installing A@A's Vortec kit on a stock 2000. Complete diffrent car, Wow. I tried getting through where the hood release lines go through with no luck. Just though someone might have a better idea.

Interested n the answer too. I'm also interested in where exactly the Fuel Pressure line is hooked up. Someone told me I have to get a "Schreder Valve"....
I ran mine through the hood release hole....with a small twist. I pushed the grommet through (it's still there if I want to reinstall it later) and then ran the boost tubing through....no problems.
The boost gauge comes with a 1" grommet to use after you drill a hole in the firewall. I drilled 1" above the hole where the hood latch cables pass thru the firewall. The firewall is fiberglass and drills easily with a sharp spade bit. It makes for a clean install. You'll notice the drip loop so any water on the wires won't drip into the interior. from outside
The fuel pressure gauge hooks to the shrader valve already installed on the fuel rails. I have the part on the way from A&A. Andy said to install the sending unit to the adapter, the part that screws into the shrader valve, in a vice prior to putting it on the car. The threads are pipe thread and need to be very tight.
Thanks for the pics of the hole in the firewall. Did you drill the hole from inside the car or have to disassemble on the outside?
The fuel pressure sender can be tightened on the engine by double wrenching. place 2 open end wrenches at approx. 30 degrees to each other and squeeze them tight. It's mild steel and aluminum so don't go crazy. Get them tight and when you prime the line check for leaks and then again once you start the engine.
I found it easier to drill from inside the footwell area. Sand the opening once you have drilled it and position the grommet.
I'm sure you haven't gotten to the pillar yet but it can be pulled straight back off the frame. It has 2 clips, top and bottom that hold it in. Once you get it off, you'll find you have more than enough room to run the wires and get everything situated.

That sounds like the easiest approach. If you're concerced about fume leakage, you can seal the gaps with this stuff - it molds like rope caulk, but unlike caulk, it never hardens.
Where did everyone wire the gauge lighting wire to??? Thanks you all have been very helpful
That's not an easy question to answer. In short, the dash dimmer can't handle the power draw and you'll lose all your dash lights as soon as you turn them on. I wired mine to the switched accessory wire in the fuse box and they come when the car is running. Since I felt mine were too bright I put a Radio Shack "trimmer" on the circuit to dim the new gauge lights. You have to get creative here.

Matt, thanks for the reply, and I will do the same. After thinking about it there is no reason to think the dimmed voltage would be ideal any way as these are proably brighter than the C5 dash bulbs. I sure don't want to toast that dash dimmer circuit..
I ran the gauge lights to one of the brown wires in the harness coming off the light switch. If you just take the lower cover off its the big bundle of wires at the bottom. Turns the lights on only when the lights are turned on.
car's in storage right now, so i can't verify - but i'm pretty sure i ran mine through with one of the electrical wiring looms instead of the hood release.
