What clutch should i get?
Is there some kind of clutchtest for LS1 clutches available somewhere?
I am thinking of clampingforce++ of different types.
I have read some threads about the topic and there are always someone who says one brand is the best and the other brand not good, and another guy saying the opposite.
How many really good brands are there and to what price?
So far i am leaning toward the Aussie, but...
I am about to order clutch, diffstrut and diffaxle and eventually some DR's when the parts is installed.
Is there one place to buy them all(except DR's)?
I have a HP twinturbo 99 coupe with stock clutch so far, and amazingly i haven't noticed any problems with slippage yet...
I've had good luck with my Exedy Twin. It's not considered a drag racing clutch because slipping it can destroy it rather easily, but, for me that isn't an issue as it's a street car.
I have 1500 miles on my RPS clutch and it was stiffer than he@@ when I broke that baby in and now just a little stiffer than stock and it holds my 700+ hp so far with some Nitto's NT-01 on the back.

Mark,
I take umbrage with the statement "It's not considered a drag racing clutch"....over 80 passes so far and over 7000 street/highway miles, and so far, so good. Of course, I'm making much less rwhp than you FI guys.
True...but I was referring to the fact that Rob, the very first time he drove my car right after I had the Excedy Dual Disc installed, was able to cut a 1.5x-60'...without trying very hard. Some have it, some don't.

The RPS clutch with the patented CYN-R-G segmented aluminum flywheel is perfect for street and track use. It will hold all but the highest horsepower motors and remain almost as smooth as a stock Z06 clutch. Pedal pressure is quite firm but not ridiculous.
This is the smoothest of the track worthy clutches that we have tested. The disc is a dual friction design used in conjuction with the segmented CYN-R-G aluminum flywheel. Read more about this new design here.

Call Andy or visit his web site this where I got mine from and like this clutch so far.
I have 3000 miles on this exact single disc RPS clutch also that i put on right before my ECS D1SC Kit. I love this clutch and it is ECS' clutch of choice for their personal cars and customers making between 500 to 650rwhp, etc. TO me it feels like a stock Z06 clutch now although i know it is a bit stiffer.

I don't think dumping the clutch is a problem, it's slipping it that heats up the discs and fries them.
And the key is having the right clutch (for drag racing at least) that can take the constant slipping needed for a good launch without too much wheelspin.
Some have it, some don't.
Hi Roger,
A little off topic, but how do you like your HP TT setup. Did you get all the final carbon fiber pieces for the kit or are you still waiting?
