Default What scanning

software do you use and what tuning software do you use?
And where is the best place to get it?
I have a 98 LS1 with a Procharger and live in N.E. Fl. so the nearest tuner is in Orlando.
Besides I just got a new laptop and I'm itching to try it out.

2 basic choices

hptuners http://www.hptuners.com
efi-live http://www.efilive.com

Both can be ordered on the web.

I personally rcommend EFI-live, it is a bit more capable on the tuning side and the scanner is light years ahead of anything else, but I'm not sure they support 98s on the tuning side. I know they did not at first, so you would have to check with them to see what the current status is.

I just checked and EFI-Live does have 98 support. All the custom OS stuff might not be available, but they have some of it.

Here is a thread about it.

It is a long read, but it will give you an idea of how dedicated and helpful these guys are with their product. 98 support was never planned, but people asked and they delivered. They even did it for free (98 does not require you to burn a license pack)
