It looked cool, but he probably did no less that 20k worth of damage to the car with that stunt.

Too bad they stopped the video before all the carnage took place.

Ok , So it was the turbo lag that pulled the wheels 6 feet off the ground .

I don't think there was any damage , the video was recent , and the car is racing this weekend in Florida , but , I have seen cars seriously damaged from pulling the wheels that high .

True - if you have no clue how to drive. Fortunately, Chad doesn't have this problem.

Unbelievable. I would love to buy an older viper and have Heffner put twins on it. His shop use to be a half hour from my house. Now it will require a road trip.

Yeah, well, if you launched from IDLE you'd have some lag.

I guarantee he had those spooled up well before the launch.

That's what a transbrake is for , it's a huge benefit to a turbo car .

Is that a different car from the 8 second yellow twin turbo IRS viper that runs a 6 speed? Looks like the same car.

Actually there was considerable damage, they cracked the hood (12,000) bent the frame inward, and damaged nearly all of the front suspension, including the suspension arms and shock mounting points. The car was pretty messed up after that launch, but they got it back together..

Those Viper guys have big bucks , the damage was probably worth it to the owner of the car , just to capture it on video .
