Dry sump TT?
Simpler? no. Superior? hell yea!
1) better ring seal
2) no atmo below the pistons to move around
3) no oil in the case to whip into foam
4) a good pump will pull 20+ inches case vacuum, water boils at room temp
5)coolest, densest oil supply for the bearings.
I'm running 5 stage drysump on my new motor,3 pullin from the motor 1 from the turbo and the pressure stage. I use a 5gal peterson drysump tank purchased from Henderson motorsports and a autoverdi pump.
There is one common theme among high hp FI motors- crancase pressure. casuing the need for catchcans, makes oilleaks out of perfectly fine seals etc. I just could not deal with the mess anymore. Drysump, while $$$$, will solve all of these problems for me.
