I just received the clutch i ordered from Eckler.
I ordered a LUK stage 3, wich turns out to be a RPS stage 3.
Eckler states in their ad that it is good for 600rwhp, while RPS themself says up to 500rwhp.
My last dyno said 564rwhp, and that is going up soon...
So, what's the real world experience? How much can it take?
I'm not going alot to the track, just test it and get banned(no rollbar)
I installed a RPS Clutch in my car back in July. It lasted about 50+ passes at the strip on ET Streets and numerous high speed blasts running on the street. About two weeks ago the car would not go into gear and I was able to creep home. When I took it out it was worn down to nothing and the friction material was missing in spots.
Overall, I liked the way the clutch felt and engaged. The pedal pressure was firm but not uncomfortable. I replaced it with a Spec V that I hope will stay together a little longer. My RWHP and RWTQ are in my sig.
Here is a picture of what was left of the clutch after I took it out:
