Default Head Gasket Help

Just finished a 408 forged with a 6.0l block and Ported LQ9 Heads. The heads cam with a "O"-ring around the cylinder. My builder used a copper gasket and I have a couple of small coolant leaks.

What type of head gasket should I be using?

Thansk in advance

o-ring'd heads are usually pretty hard to get to seal...I'd call the builder and ask him what he reccomends

We use either Fel-Pro,Cometic or GM MLS depending on the application. For boosted applications, O-ringed or not we have had good luck with Fel-Pro and Cometics.

For an o-ringed head and/or block the Felpro is the best for the street. Call Chad at Xtreme... he should have the 6L Felpro part number or perhaps you can order them through him. FWIW, Copper head gaskets are NOT good for street applications.

Thanks ... Everyone ... My builder told me to ditch the head casting and look elsewhere. I was hoping for a solution without spending extra $$ into a bigger problem even than this.

300 miles into a 500 mile break-in .. the engine went south.

I have a set of cometic 4.1bore MLS gaskets if you need a set...I am selling them for 1/2 what i paid at $100. Sounds like you'll need a new set.
