Ok guys, I searched for aftermarket clutches here to see what some of the guys with higher HP applications are running, but the most I came up with was the LS7 clutch.
I be straight up...I am clutch dumb, but I know that mine is going to be replaced. I want to know what you guys with big HP numbers are running and how you like it. I will have a 402 with a magg on top until the KB comes out (if it ever does ). What do you suggest? The car will be mostly a street car and may see some autox (doubtfull ) and driven on nice days, so I can give up some stock feel for more performance.
Now....lay it on me!
*Also posted in Tech, but I know you guys here are running the high HP.
I have the RPS clucth setup with there flywheel and I upgraded to the Z06 master and slave at the same time. I have over 2K and mine is a street car and been to the track once and maybe will go once a year as I am not the best driver and still need to upgrade my tranny and differential as they are my only weak areas left and the track will kill them. The RPS was stiff at first and after some heat cycles the clutch works just fine for my 700+ rwhp. Good luck on your new clutch selection
I'm running the Aussie clutch/flywheel setup. Their clutch comes with a new slave. Feels just like stock although there was some chatter for the first 500 miles or so. I've got about 3000 miles on it now but no drag racing. 517 RWHP
I just installed the Cartek setup and a Fidanza billet steel flywheel today. Nice pieces! Can't comment on them yet as I haven't put the engine back in the car yet.
