I am about to install a Maggie on my 2001, (yes, I know there are others that make more power, but I was "given an offer I couldn't refuse"...) And would like to know how many people are running intercooled and non intercooled setups, and what kind of numbers you are seeing...
I also would like to know what other mods you made, especially any after installing the maggie that helped.
Thanks for your help.
well i had my maggie non intercooled installed 3 weeks ago on my 02 z06 and it pulled 486 to the wheels.. i also got a deal i couldnt refuse on the hood and charger thats why i have it.. its great, love the low end torque and even better the sound at WOT, youll love it and so will people hearing it
Saw you c5 pics on the forum. I would like to ask a couple of questions about your set up. How many miles have you put on it since the s/c, and have you experienced any problems with it. How much has your gas milage gone down.
I'm trying to decide maggie or vortech on my 99. Westcoastcorvette has installed a stage IV kit giving me 371 hp and 357 tq at the rear wheels with 3:90's. How much do you think the maggie will add.
Finally how is it on athe street. What kind of times do you think it will give you?
A Non-IC mag, on a stock motor should make about 80-100 HP. I've read that the ICs make about 20-35 more. There's lots of options after that, alky, smaller pulley, engine upgrades, etc.
Front Pulley as small as to 2.65"
8-rib Belt System
Alky Kit
Larger Crank Pulley
90mm throttlebody
We've found this is enough to feed a 402 LS2 at over 8lbs of boost, and that's without the larger crank pulley or the 90mm t/b yet.
I'm sure with a smaller cube motor, especially if it's a stock LSx motor it'll be more than the motor can handle safely.
