Are you talking about for the car, or for the supercharger? Procharger units are self contained, and use proprietary oil (supposedly). Vortech taps the oil pan for oil supply. If you clarify your questions, then people may be able to help. I am running mobil 10/30 on my TT z06. No problems so far.
i have amsoil 10w30 is that ok for a blower z06? thats what i was told to run.
thanks
AMSOIL SAE Synthetic 10w30 does meet GM Standard 4718M, the GM standard for the stock Z06. Now as to whether a FI car needs a higher viscosity oil, I'd recommend going with what the FI manufacturer recommends. A consideration would be oil temp. If you car runs oil temp around the stock range near 212F, a 30 weight should be fine, but if your normal oil temps are higher than that, you might want to consider a heavier oil because the hotter an oil gets the lower its viscsosity gets. FYI, though my motor is stock I run AMSOIL Series 2000 20w50 in mine as my oil temp is routinely between 250-270 on the track, and that with an oil cooler.
