I'm debating buying a set of 1.85RR's as I'll have the stockers off when I install the new valve springs. So, I figure, why not replace with something with a higher ratio
My question is, Is there actually a need for these if i'm going to run the stock LS1 cam? I figure most of the gains from a cam swap come from the added duration, but I'm not sure.
Bottom line:
STS TT's, stock LS1 (upgraded springs good to 0.600" lift), 10psi... is it worth it to simply increase overall cam lift from ~0.500" to 0.544" with 1.85 RR's?
