This is precisley why certain vendors can get over on the general buying public. Because people run around with their tail between their legs afraid to say anything about a problem. Or their afraid to upset the compay.
Lets face it, If I was about ready to drop 7 grand on a kit, I would want to know the TRUTH not some water'd down version of a bunch of vendor leghumpers that are soo busy sucking on the n!pple of the manufacturer that It may cause me to make a detrimental decision......I personally made a bad purchase decision based on a bunch of WRONG information off of this forum, and it all stemmed from people being afraid to give their "Honest" opinion. Trust me, I lived it and I learned from it. But it WILL NOT happen again.

Exactly, you accuse others of not being forthright.. why not just say who you bought from that you feel was a bad product?

Ummm. That's because people get pillared by the usual bunch of checkbook racers every time someone reports something even remotely uncomplimentary of their tuner.
The BS a few weeks ago about Dan's experience with the ECS fuel kit is a great example. People responded as though he had called their mothers crack ******.. That's why most of the feedback on the forum is screwed towards the positive.

Why?? Because I have no desire to re live that experience. I dont find it necessary to start a thread bashing the vendor, or ANY vendor for that matter. I prefer to keep it to myself, and just not bring it up (The story). You live and learn, then you move on.
There is a difference between not wanting to re live an experience, so you just keep it to yourself -vs- speaking about your problem, yet watering it down or NOT telling the whole truth.
My situation is NOT the topic of this thread, I am just making a point that we need honesty when discussing any situation. There are a lot of us that consider each other as friends, and take eachothers word even though we may have never even met in person.
I appologize for taking this thread off topic, so I will just butt out now..
Thats what I like to see.. A little testicular fortitude.
I didnt expect to get a thanks for my post. I'm trying to enlighten you a little when it comes to discussing a situation on an open forum. I'll tell you what, You pi$$ away 20+ tousand dollars on wrong information because members didnt have the guts to speak freely, then come back to this thread and read your posts.
As I said before, I am sure STS will correct any issue that has come up. If you read this thread in its entirity, there is not one person who is bashing or placing any "Blame" on the vendor. So you need not defend them. Even the best have failures with certain parts. Thats to be expected.
Again, good luck on the repairs.
I wish that your situation gets resolved with the least amount of money and frustration.
It is my hope that discussions remain informative and others impart information beneficial to others so that same mistakes dont happen again and awareness increases as we continue to try to make more rwhp.

You did not hijack the thread, all you did was vent your frustrations as many of us do on other topics.
However, at the very least you should notify others of your issue, esp. 20K worth of experience. Speak the truth, as you say!!!!

I can understand where you are coming from, but frankly it's disingenuous to withhold valid feedback from the forum. You were displeased with a $20K project from one of the forums most regarded tuners. Surely others could benefit from the details of your experience.
..... and so you leave us with exactly what you accused others of doing..... You brought it up, remember?

Sorry, AMERICAN_HP. I didn't mean to put you on the spot. I certainly don't expect you to re-live your horror story. However, I thought that the point of your previous posts directed at turtle and the hare was to inform/advise/warn forum members of MAJOR issues experienced with a vendor but you are unwilling to do the same yourself. Again, sorry to put you on the spot.
