ok, so i miss the turbo on my scoob. but, love the V8 in the vette. now, ive been readingabout the STS kit..and i need to get this straight.

1) this is basically two turbos stuck on the back of a stock exhaust system, then the air is piped to an intercooler located on top of the radiator, then into the stock intake manifold.

2) so...this uses stock headers, stock h-pipe, stock injectors stock fuel pump? what else do you need?

3)is it just oil cooled?, or oil and water?

it just sounds so simple. im really interested in it. looks like it would be a straight forward install too. just mount turbos, run lines for oil, run a line to the intercooler and...bout it right?

does anyone have pics of the kit uninstalled? or pics from underneath a car with the kit?

thanks alot guys.

The theory sounds good (almost), but the applied solution, did not impress me!

Yes, the amazing fit and finish, stealth aspect, stock drivability with 550+ rwhp, easy scalability, and relatively inexpensive cost, really sucks...

I just ordered my kit, I hope the people that weren't impressed are wrong.

I'm impressed by it, that it why I went with this system. And STEALTH 99 C5's applied rear mount solution seems impressive, and the MTI Z06 STS kit that made over 700RWHP, and all the other stock cars that will be pushing the limits of the engine with just the kit seems impressive to me. You get twin turbos without having to turn your engine bay into a boiler room, or have to put on a Pro Street Modified super highrise hood for the KB.

Hammer, I think when you receive your kit, you will like the quality and detail that went into designing this system. And the intercooler is huge.
Just my thoughts on the kit, I hope you enjoy your twin turobs.

Thank you and God bless,
Chris

Oh its not that bad. It's just a 13 story townhome complex.
J/K AmericanHP. I was actually holding out for the KB but it finally pizzed me off enough to say fukem. I saw the first STS kit MTI installed and tuned. I specifically went over there to see Jason's car get the tune. With the base turbos and his 383, the thing put out 740 HP at 12.5 psi (if I remember right). The graph was still going straight up but his fuel system couldn't handle the load so the pull was aborted. After seeing the kit, hearing the kit, and seeing with my own eyes what it is capable of, I was sold on it. I purchased mine the next day. I just finished installing mine and must say I am impressed with the fit and quality of everything. It is not that hard of an install at all. It took me about 20-22 hours to do the kit by myself on jackstands. It would certainly be easier if I ever do it again. All the extra little things that I have been doing took longer than the turbo kit. I will get my tune Monday and will of course post results.

I've given some local vette guys with big cube (383 - 427 cc) forged engines rides / drives on the lowest boost level (5 lbs). Others who own FGT's and C6Z's have also gotten rides.

Trust me ... all were very impressed. Many are now wanting to get their N/A engines blown.

Perhaps you run 750 plus HP @ 25 lbs ... otherwise, you are suffering from STS envy .... perhaps ?
